I got my haircut this week.....that process probably takes longer for that to be done for you DR BEN.

Ha, ha. It's taking less and less time. It looks like I have a full head of hair but it's getting mighty thin up on top. It takes Yuri about 15 minutes to cut my hair. I'm thinking that in the spring I should just bite the bullet and get it cut very short. I don't want the shaved head look but I think shorter would be better.

Fountain Filled with Blood is a great song, Elmore. Love the melody and the lyrics are pure mountain.

Last night, I went to a local production of "How I Learned to Drive" by Paula Vogel.  I'd only heard of the play but didn't know what it was about....now I do. :o

It was very well done...quite powerful.  The lead woman was played by Heather, who played Joyce in TAO's The Brain From Planet X.  I only knew one other person in the cast (of five), but I knew most everyone in the audience (of fifteen).
That's been sitting in my to-read stack for about a year now. I found a copy for a buck on a close-out rack and just haven't taken the time to read it. Maybe for Christmas, given your emoticon!

It's a pretty heavy read John. I saw the Off-Broadway production with Mary Louise Parker. It's quite a piece for good actors.

I'm listening to Russell Davies on BBC 2 right now.

We have lots of things to watch thanks to the kindness of friends but I don't have a clue what we will see this weekend.

We will eat dinner out tonight (our usual Friday night date night) and then the rest is up in the air.

I tried blowing the picture up, but it was blurry. I'd heard the story, too, and find it a fun rumor. He was probably around the day they were filming and just drifted into the background as an extra.

Friday morning greetings!  Last night my book group met to discuss the writings of Elizabeth Hardwick at a home containing 2 cats.  We never saw them, but my eyes are itchy this morning.  I have my second-to-last cardiac rehab session this afternoon, followed by several errands.

I don't have anything in my dvd player. But my PVR has: last night's THE MENTALIST, Wed's HUMAN TARGET, Sunday's DEESPERATE HOUSEWIVES, Monday's CHUCK and GOSSIP GIRL.  My VCR has the last two DEXTERS.

I managed to get on FB last night, which I never do much of anyway, and discovered that BK worked with a casting agent in L.A. who moved to Portland and is mother to an actress who appeared in two high school musicals here where I was hired to help fill out the orchestra with multiple synth parts (so many patch changes I still have nightmares LOL).  This girl is in a play off Broadway now.

Oh, and How I Learned To Drive is most definitely not a Holiday Title. However, Paula Vogel's The Long Christmas Drive Home is. Well, sorta.

Oh! But Paula Vogel also wrote the book for A Civil War Christmas: An American Musical Celebration, and that is most definitely Christmas-y.

Looks like a good day to see a Broadway show: Today's TKTS offerings just got posted.  Out of the 38 currently running shows, 31 are up on the board. Good thing? Bad thing? Just a thing?
