MEdia Check:

iPod:  Kid Rock - BORN FREE, Bruce Springsteen - THE PROMISE

Tivo:  this week's MOVIE MOGULS from TCM plus a couple of non-talkies I've never seen

DVD:  NIGHT OF THE HUNTER (Purchased at Barnes & Nobel at 50% off (the Criterion sale is still on), plus 10% off because of my B&N membership, plus I used a gift card I still had $11.00 on--I wound up paying only $8.00 and change!

Is that Jack Benny (on the right), working as an extra in CASABLANCA

Rumor says it is.

Doesn't really look like Jack Benny to me.  More like George Burns.  And he's talking on a cell phone!!!

The LACCTAA website is being completely redone, just as we did with Kritzerland - it should be up in a few weeks.

I guess I'm up.  Certainly I was up about fifteen times during the night - too much liquid yesterday.

My niece's roommate is Peter Bellwood's daughter.  Pamela is her stepmother.  Peter wrote the book and lyrics for the musical GANTRY, and also co-scripted the HIGHLANDER films.  He started his career as a comedy writer, working with Dudley Moore, and I was positing that the HIGHLANDER films were actually comedies.  Clear as mud now?

Well, I found out why Spats hasn't been adopted. Just as I feared, he got sick. So I am going to bring him home to nurse him back to health.

Okay.....I see all the words now.

Benny did HORN BLOWS AT MIDNIGHT and GEORGE WASHINGTON SLEPT here at Warner Bros.....but I think he did start out at Paramount in the 30's.

I've had an action-packed three hours, from trips to pharmacy, Juilliard book store, hardware store and barber to NYPL and home.

I am craving eggs and sausage at the moment. The sliced apples and walnuts, almonds and cashews just haven't been satisfying today.

DEAD OF WINTER arrived yesterday.

My copy arrived yesterday, also!  That's what I'll be listening to today. :)

After that will be my CD-R made from The Manhattan Transfer's Christmas DVD.  It has great sound and wonderful songs!

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

We watched our DVR'd MODERN FAMILY last night and I believe that was Miss Frances Farmer co-star and BK's close personal dining friend Norman Lloyd playing the elderly man at the mall.
