DR der Brucer - Thanks for asking!  I will graduate from Cardiac Rehab Phase 2 on Monday and now have a routine established - just have to keep up my motivation.  I'm not obsessing about the diet, but still have lost almost 20 pounds.
Congrats on the weight loss.

Thanks, DR John G!  I call it "a good start."

I can't believe how much that oaf gets on my nerves. Happy we won't have to hear about him anymore. But why is he so active at night? Shouldn't he be sleeping?

Bryan used to be like that, awake and night & sleeping the mornings away.  I'm sure he was not an oaf.

Poor little Spats is so congested. But he is so much friendlier than he was with the whole family around. He'll get adopted in a snap if he keeps this up.

Maybe this is a blessing in disguise.  I hope he feels better soon.

Sandra is fine. She says there are no good stories to post now working where she does. They don't play "My Horse is Your Mother" there.

Tell her to find a more interesting job so she can entertain us.;)  Has she considered going back to school?

Since I doubt he's working as a realtor between midnight and 5 am, I think he's selling pharmaceuticals in the clubs.

Don't forget: my gain is Canada's loss!

Oh no Jennifer, watch out. ;D

TOD:  I think it would be cool to do a documentary about some really cool house and the people who lived there. Not just the original owners, but each of the  people who lived there and how they changed the look, feel etc of the house as well as events that happened there and how it effected the people who lived in the house.

There was a fictional "If These Walls Could Talk" years ago on HBO.  I would want mine to be nonfiction, but it's the same idea

That doesn't sound very exciting when I write it down, but the idea in my head is wonderful

DR Cillaliz - The "If These Walls Could Talk" movies were wonderful. The first one dealt with abortion, and the second one with homosexuality.  The first segment of the second one starred Vanessa Redgrave and Marian Seldes. It was truly heartbreaking.  *And to tie it in to HHW - the opening scene of that segment has the two women watching a movie in a movie theater. The movie: "The Children's Hour".

I watched them both more than once. I think of the segment with Vanessa Regrave and Marian Seldes whenever I hear about rights for same sex couples.  They were incredible

After this morning's exchange between DR vixmom and DR the vixter, I wonder if they would consider auditioning for "The Amazing Race".

Hi, my name is Jeff and I am addicted to ebates.  I have amassed almost $50 in cash back over only about a week, and I really haven't spent very much to do that.  In fact I got DW Wife Betsy two wonderful presents at Piperlime, a gorgeous top and a really nice cardigan, and with their sale and the cashback, I spent around $20.  TOTAL.

She should like those.

My club gig went well last night.  I can only say any signs of a recession were not apparent at this place--it was jam packed from the moment I got there until I left 3 hours later.  The staff is really nice and the food was to die for.  I got a Misto Salad, which had incredible candied nuts, dried cherries and an orange cognac dressing.  I also ordered the bar nachos, which because they were only $7.95, I assumed would be maybe 10-15 chips with salsa.  Good Lord, you would not have believed how huge this thing was--at least a foot high, I am not exaggerating.  I had about 4 chips then told the bartender he could have the rest.

I did also indulge in a Spanish Coffee.  The bartender made it rather strong, so I can only say my second set featured a number of chords and voicings that had not been invented yet.  ;)

Good news.

Funny.

Not to invite the wrath of BK (the title of *my* next novel), I must say that while BK's monstrosity next door is indeed two stories, something unusual for that neighborhood, it really isn't huge looking (at least from the street).  I doubt it's more than 2000sf.

Interesting.  I pictured it MUCH larger.

I believe in actuality it's more like 3000 square feet - they pack a lot of room in these awful things because they build BACK and use most of the yard.  And the previous house had a HUGE yard.

How about a photo?

Well, after all these many days. I am finally up and about, the computer is back from the shop after a complete system re-install, the myriad of software re-installation and web-site re-registerimg complete - and, last but noit least, the wildlife attended to:

Rcoky with his stare in the window "Where The Hell Have You Been" look:

der Brucer

I'm very happy to see you.  I've been somewhat worried & was considering sending you a letter.

Well the Vixter is not old enough. But what a great idea!  Or how about DRs Laura and Sandra!

I have never seen Amazing Race - do we have to eat bugs?  I am not going on any show where I have to eat bugs
You should watch, it's a great show and you sleep in hotels at night.  I think there might have been a bug eating once or twice, but not every season

Ok, all you techo people I need help.   I'm looking for a TV for the room I'm redoing.  I'm thinking a 32 inch.  Now, I can't get cable in there, so I'm thinking about a wifi tv like the Vizio.  I saw Google TV today, it was pretty cool.  But now I realized that a Blu-Ray player also has internet apps or can get me to the internet.  I mostly want to be able to watch tv or movies on the net.

SO, what I'm trying to figure out is if it's better to get the internet in the tv or to get a tv and a blu-ray separately that will wifi with my network so I can get movies etc that way.

Any suggestions, advice etc from those in the know would be great.  I don't have a blu-ray player, so that maybe the best way to go.

Sigh, we just spoke to Craig.  He should make it to Redding and then the road is closed.  He doesn't want to sit in a Motel 6 until Monday & discussed going west to the coast & then over to us. I'm not sure we convinced him it would be worse than staying put.

Hopefully the hotels are not filled with stranded travelers.
