Wednesday morning greetings!  I've been more or less awake since about 5:30, because Rob had to leave early to take a big final exam for his paramedic class and then drive (MY car) to Michigan for a extended Thanksgiving holiday.  While I can accept the fact that he won't always be here for holidays, having my car taken away, too, is pretty depressing.  Richard and I are trying to put a positive spin on it, saying we're experimenting on sharing a car, but I'm not happy about it.

Feel better vibes for Jose and all in need. I'm still taking the antibiotic for the ear infection and am happy to report that it's working nicely. I can tell it's not gone, but I have no complaints.

I'm walking much better today & am able to bend my knee instead of keeping it locked straight.  I will go to the market with Keith later today.  I also need to pick up The Lacuna.  Ginny have you begun reading it?  The guys all had a nice walk in the snow this morning.

I found out (years after the fact) that a certain author who wrote a certain "biography" of a certain actress did not actually conduct some of the "star" interviews alluded to in his "book."  ;)

My pre order of THE FILMS OF FRANCES FARMER was cancelled....it's still up on Amazon, and is listed as in stock.  Maybe I will try to order it again.

Peter posted again on IMdb.  There's a blurb about it now on the McFarland site.

You are kidding, aren't you?  I'm waiting for you to get your copy to tell me what's in it.  I'll be shocked if I'm mentioned anywhere.  I have the sinking feeling it's going to be deja vu all over again, if you know what I mean.

It's like all of the Allison Hayes bios on the net that use my research - and of all of them, I received credit in exactly ONE.

I meant in terms of the lies about FF.  IIRC he was one of the defenders of the author.

DR Cillaliz - It sounds like your Thanksgiving plans are working out one way or another. I hope you and your family stay safe and healthy this weekend.

Thanks DR Jose.  I have all the fixins for a feast made entirely of things I like to eat. Cool.  I talked to mom and they are getting freezing rain up there right now.  I'd much rather have them safe at home than trying to get here.

Ricky just saw a squirrel on the birdfeeder for the first time.  He went bezerk!!  It was kind of funny.  The girls looked at him like he was such a novice. I'm sure they didn't tell him they did the same thing when they first saw a squirrel on that feeder

DR Jane - I was wondering if you had started THE LACUNA yet, too!  I will, right away (well, after my walk around the basement and some errands with Richard...)

Also read the new Sal Mineo biography to read about his active love life including Mr Bobby Sherman and Mr Jay North.

And I agree about State and Main......

Not a fan of State and Main. I like the cast, tho.

Thank you, DR George.  Richard and I will have to coordinate our calendars even more carefully than usual.

Scalloped oysters are prepped and waiting to go in the oven.  They have to sit in the fridge for two hours  then sit out on the counter for 30 minutes before they go in the oven.

Wow, the temperature just went from 34 to 27 in about 1/2 hour.  It's really wet out there so it's going to be getting very slick.  I'm so glad that I'm home and my folks aren't going to be traveling

We got an e-mail from the director earlier today that all the libraries will close at 4:00 p.m.  It uses up another two hours of Emergency Leave so that, in my case, I will only have four hours left, but I don't care...we're leaving early again! :D
