Well, you've read the notes, the notes were unfashionably in praise of Neil Simon, and now it is time for you to post until the unfashionable cows come home - they're currently doing a production of Brighton Beach MOOmoirs.

Yesterday, we had a tech (lighting) rehearsal and act one will have 67 light cues.  We only got through about half of act two.  We'll finish the rest tonight.  It was fun (for the most part) actually working the light board.  I was manually changing all the lights.  The only real problem was that I don't have the sliders memorized, so I was reading the board a lot.  It was rough, but we got a lot done.  And once we finish tonight and the lighting designer actually programs the board, things will go much more smoothly...lighting-wise.

And now, I must go back and read all, count 'em ALL of yesterday's posts (and yesterday's notes, too).  I went to bed Friday night before the notes were posted and didn't read them yet.  Now I will.

Great story about Sugar getting to hear her namesake song in its newly pristine version.

RE: Neil Simon

What is it that Woody Allen said?

"Those who can't do, teach...and those who can't teach, teach gym."

It's pretty much the same way with critics, isn't it?

I am currently with my 18 month old niece.  The way I'm getting to use the computer is that she has emptied a huge bucket of play food onto the floor. What a mess. But at least she is quiet.

She decided to wake up though at 6am. Even though my sis was here too. She kept coming into my room to say "hi".

I would like to get dressed. But will probably wait until my other niece and sister come back from swim class. Hopefully my niece won't have had another meltdown. For some reason she get "stomach aches" when she goes swimming.

This teacher is quite hard on them.  The odd part is that she had gone for 2 years to the same pool with her daycare class and thrived. But this session she's been having problems. Even though she can swim the width of the pool she psychs herself out! Hope it won't be a nightmare today.

I enjoy Mr Neil Simon very much....I enjoy seeing his shows and playing in his shows.  I  have played:

Mel in Prisoner of Second Avenue....a role MR BK should play.

Felix in The Odd Couple

Mr Velasco in Barefoot in the Park

All terrific roles.....and all of the plays great audience pleasers.

The word is that SPIDER-MAN cancelled its invited dress rehearsal.  Does anyone know if that's true?

If it is true, I wonder how that bodes for the first public preview performance tonight.

Good morning, all! The temperature here at Randyland is rather cool; Randy arrived home too late for me to take him and Jo to dinner, and of course it was done deliberately since he's pissed at me for the realtor nonsense. Poor Jo's in the middle, which I hate, and all I want to do at the moment is board a plane and get my ass back to NYC.

This afternoon I will see my friend Loyce and her family, and I look forward to that. I'll spend some time today packing, and on my way into town, I will stop at a store and pick up some packing tape to ship a package back to Ohio tomorrow before I drive to the Dayton airport.

I've almost finished the Kay Thompson bio; she becomes more of a selfish, egomaniacal, petty ass every chapter. I suspect I'll finish this tonight and need to pick up another book in Dayton for the plane.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Vibes for Travel, Health, and all other concerns today! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Elmore areRandy & McBeth reluctant to employ a realtor because of the commission cost?  Or do they want to wait for the depressed real estate market to rebound so the property will be worth more?
