Last night my friend Gordon asked me if I had ever heard Sue Raney? I never have. Any thoughts?

Gorgeous.  Perfect intonation and really exquisite phrasing.

I suspected you would know her! Gordon says she's wonderful as well.

I think that I will order a few albums from Amazon.com when I get back to Manhattan.

Interview went OK, though I was not asked if I had any questions about the place. Still, she said I should hear by the end of the week. In the meantime, I got a lead on some other freelance work, which is nice.

Woo Hoo!!!  What a cast recording morning it's been!!!  FINALLY, iTunes has the 1981 recording of The Sound of Music with Petula Clark (in which I do have the LP somewhere) and the just-released-today recording of the U.K. Cast of Spamalot  What a great day we're having!

Spats still won't leave me alone. He sat outside the bedroom door and cried, so I got up and slept on the sofa and he cuddled all night.

Are you going to videotape Christmasvillagetown again this year?

If I can think of something new and exciting to do, I will.

I got up a little late and have been working with the helper.  I was just comfy in bed - up - but because it was so quiet out I thought it was about eight.  It was nine-thirty.

Good Afternoon!

Well... I just heard from two more friends in NYC who have come down with sinus infections...

Another friend was thinking that some very tiny aliens have invaded New York City, and that they're living in our noses. I'm starting to think that she's right. ::)

Very surpised this is only now getting noticed.

R.I.P Christopher Shea (child actor; voice of Linus in A CHARLIE BROWN CHRISTMAS)

Christopher Dylan Shea

passed away on August 19th of natural causes near his home in Honeydew, California. Born on February 5, 1958 in Los Angeles, Christopher had made Humboldt County his home for over twenty years. As a young boy, Christopher acted in such iconic television shows as The Odd Couple, Bonanza, and Green Acres, as well as numerous appearances in the Sunday evening classic series The Wonderful World of Disney. His most recognized role was that of voicing the character of Linus Van Pelt in the original Charles Schulz's Peanuts television specials, A Charlie Brown Christmas and It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown among others. Christopher was a colorful person with a playful spirit and a big heart. His smile was contagious and his family enjoyed his wonderfully sincere hugs. Christopher influenced many who crossed his path in a positive and creative way: he frequently lent a hand to others when they were in need. He had a generous nature and took genuine pleasure in other people's good fortune. He loved communing with nature, listening to music, and he had a lifelong passion for literature. Christopher was a loving father, a devoted son, and a caring brother and uncle. He is deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Christopher is survived by his wife Sara Straton, and his beloved daughters, Nicea Straton-Shea and Teal Straton-Shea. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2010. Care is under the direction of Pierce Mortuary, Eureka, California. DR John G., the Annie Lennox Christmas CD is lovely to listen to, but I don't understand why they decided to tinker with her voice.  Not exactly auto-tuned but it's definitely being piped through some kind of wire.  As they say in Twitter Land, #UnnecessarilyOverProduced...

I've had my 28.5-minute walk around the basement, watched CITY ISLAND, and sustained a pretty deep paper cut while filing some paperwork.  Not a biggie under normal circumstances, but when you're on 3 or 4 meds that have blood thinning effects it's quite an event.  I've wrapped a band-aid pretty tight around my finger to act as a tourniquet.  And my live-in EMT is in Michigan!
