I have to go to Amoeba to buy a DVD now - I HAD the DVD and got rid of it (why I don't know, and maybe it's out in the garage now - who knows?) - and now I need it for one of our upcoming releases.

Re: MacBook repairs.
AppleCare told me to allow 5-7 days if I went through Apple. My MacBook is less than three years old, but I often work with it literally in my lap. I hadn't realized that disc drives should only be operated on a flat, stable surface. Makes sense if you think about it, but I hadn't. I used to watch movies with the Mac tilted.

I think the worst Christmas movie I have ever seen is ONE MAGIC CHRISTMAS. After watching that movie, I wanted to go out and hang myself; but I figured that might cheer me up.

My mom and I took my niece so she could give Santa her colored picture (to enter to win a breakfast with Santa). Only 30 kids win. Not sure how many will enter. There is a box that says "contest entries". But there are no pictures to color there. So you'd have to get the picture from the paper and color it and bring it. It's not a very popular set of stores. So maybe she has a chance.

Thanks Jane, but fortunately, the only people who left actually during the show had a medical reason. That's a good reason to leave. And there's no way to tell why the other people left at intermission. They could've had valid reasons to leave a show...or not.

I was lumping them all into one category, true they didn't all walk out which is a positive way to look at it.

I'm still amazed when I got to The Metropolitan Opera at the number of people who leave after the first act. And these are people who I'm pretty sure paid full price for their tickets: $200-$275!! -Unlike me, who got lucky with a $25 rush seat or a company member's comp. Sometimes they even discuss leaving after the act during the act.

And then, of course, there are those diehards(?) who have never stuck around for a curtain call because they want to be the first one in the parking garage or at the taxi stand. I know some of the final curtains at The Met can fall past 11:00pm, sometimes even close to Midnight, but you're going to the opera - it's supposed to be a long evening.

**Although, I actually like "Undercover Boss", so... If it happens to involve a company I'm familiar with, I'll go ahead and record "CSI: Miami" just in case.

-Although, at this point, the coughing is a result of my acid reflux. But, yes, I have been very careful "prepping" my coughs when I can. Strangely enough, I was dealing with a very tight lower back the past couple of weeks, but the coughing actually seems to have loosened things up a bit. Alas, it looks they may have loosened one or two things up just a tad bit mich, but, I have to say, I've been pain-free since earlier this afternoon. It's amazing what switching from Tylenol to Advil can do.
