DR JohnG - A bird in your ear? ???
What can I say? He's more calm tonight. And that's good for me.

Great "Friendship" parody lyrics.

My problem with the casting extends beyond Joel Grey to Sutton herself. I don't picture her as Reno. Reno is brassier than perky Sutton. I'm sure she can sing the songs well, but, then again, so could Brett Barrett, but I don't want to see him as Reno either.

I just ordered the Complete Epic Recordings of Sal Mineo.

With or without Bobby Sherman?

Has anyone mentioned THE ZULU AND THE ZAYDA is available on CD-R now from Arkiv?  This is one of the very last Columbia cast albums that hadn't seen the CD (or CD-R) light of day.  I can only think of a handful, all of which would be perfect Kritzerland releases.

Just popped in "Christmas in Connecticut." Another Christmas picture with Jerome Moross orchestrating the music.

Hope Santa brings me a copy of that one. I have it on vinyl, but it got damaged when my house flooded.

Weird Romance was also re-issued at the end of November.

DR Cillaliz - I hope you're having/had a good time at A Chorus Line tonight.  My parents saw the show/tour in Richmond a few weeks ago and loved it. -And Baayork is really happy with this cast too.

I wonder if this is the same tour that's coming to Olympia in February.

I think I might have figured out what's wrong. I will call the doctor tomorrow and try to get an appointment but if I can't get one I will go to urgent care.

I think I have an abdominal hernia.

Everything I've googled about my symptoms (I hate to make a diagnosis not being a doctor and all) makes me believe this. Now, I just need to find out if I need immediate treatment. There is nothing to "push in" with gentle pressure, at least not that I can feel, so I'll wait for the doctor tomorrow or Wednesday or Thursday.

JMK - the item was a watercolor, purportedly by Reginald Marsh.

Ballerina Jenifer Ringer....

too skinny, too fat, or just right?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/yblog_thelookout/20101213/us_yblog_thelookout/sugar-plum-fairy-doesnt-want-apology-from-critic-who-called-her-fat

The critic didn't call her too fat, just said she'd looked like she ate one sugar plum too many, and he also called a male dancer too fat, but no one's making a fuss over that.

But since Ringer has suffered from anorexia in the past, it was a rather cruel thing to say.

I wonder ow many girls are going to develop anorexia once Michele Obama's school program gets going.
