JMK, just out of curiosity, why wouldn't you give the prospective tenant the address of the rental? I myself wouldn't even consider asking about a rental unless I knew where it was located.

And a very happy 38th birthday to my favorite (current day) Bollywood actor, John Abraham!

George, good news on the healthy audiences for your show.

Thanks!  I think that since they're the oldest continuing community theater group in Olympia, they pretty much have a built-in audience. :)

I WILL and HAVE given out the address--AFTER we've spoken and I've determined if they meet our requirements.  A lot of people who have called/inquired are bankrupt, have criminal histories, and the like, and I will NOT release the address willy-nilly.  Also, we made the mistake of releasing the address before pre-screening a few weeks ago and people showed up at the house and tried to get the current tenants to let them in to see it.  NOT appropriate.

Also, one of the reasons this ASS wanted the address was to, in his words, "Verify Lot Size."  Good Lord--yes, I am going to LIE about the lot size.  I mean, come on.

I also tell prospective tenants that the pre-screening is mutual.  We tell them up front about issues like the house having no master bath, etc., to determine if that means they're not interested.

I should also add that the CL ad clearly states the neighborhood, and everyone, including this ASS, has been given nearby landmarks, like Hamilton Park and Bridlemile School, to Google Map and check criminal history, etc.  So it's not like they don't know where they're looking.

I think I've made the turn in my health,

So I got back here around 7:50 and my phone rang; it was my brother Randy calling me to apologize for Thanksgiving and to tell me he loved me. All is well,

:D  :D

Vibes you continue to feel better.

I heard from DR Ben while I was at the Loesser office. He is being released today.

As for THE MOST HAPPY FELLA, we have assembled the entire first act vocal score, on Jan 10, 1955 the date that music was released to Don Walker for orchestration. Act One Scene Two, which was the most drastically reshaped in previews, has this sequence:
1. Stading On The Corner
2. Joey Joey
3. The Most Happy Fella
4. Hey Max! (photographer)
5. Tony-Marie Duet (Rosabella)
6. Nobody's Ever Gonna Love you
7. Tony's Trick ("Soon You Gonna leave Me Joe")
8. Rosabella (Reprise)

There are a couple of pages from the November 1955 vocal score where tony has along scene in Italian that is basically, "I can't send my own photo!" but I think that's been removed by Jan 10, 1956. The show opened on Broadway on May 3, 1956 and previews began in March, so they must have just gone into rehearsal on the beginning of January.

There's also a sequence in Act one Scene 3 called "Collar Business" after "Abondanza" where tony has one of the servants adjsut his tie and collar and his sister Marie pushes the servant out of the way and does it for him. She is such a pushy bitch.

Well, the mail has arrived and there's still no damned check from the foundation. This fool has completely screwed up my holiday plans. I am not amused and I am wondering how to proceed.

Yes, both those YouTube clips use our Be A Santa chart without permission - I don't know how the choir got on there unless at some point some choir used it and just sang over Michelle and I, which is, I suspect, the case.  I guess everyone is entitled to just use anything they like these days, without asking.  The counterpoint lyric AND melody is not by Jule Styne and Comden and Green, it's by Lanny Meyers, and the arrangement and harmonies are all Lanny and me.  And the tap dancing, lovingly recreated step for step by the twin girls is, of course, choreographed and performed on the album by Niki Harris.
I have always enjoyed that counterpoint lyric. Thanks for sharing the history of that.

Found an unopened DVD of "Kiki & Herb Live at the Knitting Factory" for $1. And an unopened copy of "The General" with "Steamboat Bill Jr." Good shopping today.

What a screwy day!  I never got to ship anything, because tomorrow's Linda and Greg rehearsal was, in fact, today - I must have missed the change.  But happily I was here, but Boswell thought it was tomorrow.  But we got a lot of work done on the structure of the show, so it was a good session.  Now I have to wait for singers to arrive.

I was just informed that Mrs. Patricia Borgstrom, my high school drama teacher, passed away on December 7th.  She was 90+

Very sad.  The lady made a great difference in my life.
