I haven't logged onto Netflix in a few days--is there a way to see the newly added stuff?

DR ELMORE - the Mouseketeer book interested me except most people seem to think it was cobbled together from already published info.....so unless it has new pics of Annette or recent interviews with Darlene and Lonnie....I didn't need it.

It certainly takes info from other sources, but I don't think the book is nothing more than that. It's my memory that Annette, because of her health, would/could not be interviewed, but my memory is that the author spoke to many of the Mouseketeers. I could be wrong, because I'm neither a huge nostalgia fan about the subject and because this is the first book I've read on the folk today. Thelast book on the MM Club seems to have been one written in the 1970s so there's a lot of water over the dam since then.  I enjoyed the book but I like the Thompson bio much much more.

I think I might enjoy the Kay Thompson bio; mainly because I wouldn't have to listen to her (or Liza) sing.

Amazing that a book about SPIDER-MAN was written so long ago!

Finally done with everything.  Got everything shipped and sorted out, did the Costco run, got some shipping supplies we needed at Staples, had some lunch at the Studio Cafe (chopped Eyetalian salad - small and great), and have caught up on e-mails and such.  Casino Royale sold out at eleven this morning and there are only about 120 Genghis Khan left.

DR JOSE or DR FJL would you run over to 200 Central Park South and see what they have available.  I want to move there after the first of the year.

I can spend up to $700 per month, so just get all the brochures on the big apartments that they have in that range.  Thanks.

let's hear more about the cookies

Well, they're not on MY diet...

And I just realized they're not on DR Ben's diet, either, because the predominant ingredient is 2 cups of chopped pecans.  Definitely NOT low residue!

My very favorite cookie, but no one I know bakes cookies anymore.

I'm feeling better with each passing day. I'm eating lots of boiled chicken with white rice and broth. Today after checking the diet list I had creamy peanut butter (I'm a chunky PB man) on a toasted English muffin (no fiber in those English muffins) with some grape jelly. Tastes good to me!

The weather in Chicago is good for flying as is the weather in Salt Lake City, yet Bryan & Kate's Delta flight has been canceled.  The connecting flight in Utah is still flying.  It seems Delta doesn't have a plane.  Bryan & Kate have been rescheduled for tomorrow on an earlier flight that leaves them with a three hour delay in Utah so we still have to pick them up at 11:00PM.

I am not a happy camper.  In the good old days they would have been put on a competing airline since it is the airlines fault.

Delta and NW merged so a lot of the Delta planes come out of Minneapolis.  they've had lots and lots of snow so I'm sure it's impacting flights everywhere

I'm sorry, but I believe that the Spiderman show should absolutely stop. Way too many people are getting hurt. It can't possibly be worth it.

I saw the video of what happened (I think it was on the NY Times website. Between that and the medical professional who was at the show (and who wrote about it) it didn't sound like the injury was that severe. Hopefully the guy will be fine.

DR Jennifer, no one falls 30 feet to a hardwood floor without suffering some injuries I doubt he will be fine for some time. He is currently in serious condition, according to this:

http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-12-21/broadway-s-65-million-spider-man-preview-halted-after-stuntman-injury.html

"He can be seen falling into a darkened area in front of the stage."   Don't they call that an orchestra pit ;)

Considering how many people managed to "catch" the fall on their cell phones, perhaps Miss Patti LuPone needs to make an appearance at Spider-Man.

On second thought, perhaps Miss LuPone as one of the stunt doubles.

After listening to the reporter on the video I can understand DR Jennifer's conclusion.  It doesn't show how far the person fell.

On my way to work, I was listening to Seattle's All Christmas station.  One of the carols that they played was GOD REST YE MERRY GENTLEMEN.  I really disliked that carol as a kid, but it is now one of my favorites.  Anyone else have a change of heart about a carol, once they grew up?

This is an early report, because the article says "minor injuries," and I think this is the same footage shown on the networks today. I doubt there are a large number of videos floating about.

I should have thought to check the weather in Minneapolis, thank for clearing that up.

It has turned out for the best.  We needed more time to get ready while taking advantage of not having Yogi here and the airline extended their return home a day.  We still get them for four days and now they have a return flight at 1:00PM instead of 6:00AM.

I hope they aren't delayed again tomorrow.  I always feel bad when Bryan ends up spending his birthday (23rd) on an airplane.

I was just going by one of the articles that I was reading that mentioned that the chat lines were crowded last night with people who were at the show and / or recorded it on their phones.  I suppose a lot of people could be one or two.
