This elf is a little tired and has another kitchen day ahead of her tomorrow.  I'm going to get ready for bed and try out the new reading glasses that I picked up this afternoon - 'night!

RE: Netflix streaming...I talked ot my buddy Jim last night and he bough some small contraption from Apple which plugs into his TV and allows him to stream Netflix movies from the internet via wireless conection from his computer.

After the first of the year I think I will be getting one of these...he said it was only $99. He has been watching streaming movies from Netflix all week long, he says.

That's probably the Roku viewer. you can get them for less than that. www.roku.com

I've been to the library and I got back to discover a gift sitting at my door that put me into a fantastic holiday mood. At first I thought it was a wrong item delivered by mistake, but after reading the invoice and gift message, I found the holiday spirit and good cheer I've been missing the past week. This gift, and having money in the bank again for a change, are great restorers of my faith in humanity and the value of friendship. I am very moved today by turns of events.

Now, if I could only shake this damned cold, I could conquer the world! There's always a loophole.

Greetings from the Great White North.  Good grief, for as close as my parents live to me the weather is night and day.  There is at least 5-7 inches of snow on the ground here. At home the grass is sticking out and a lot of the snow has melted.

I decided last night to go ahead and leave today.  The snow is supposed to start in the morning.  I didn't want to leave the cats for  4 nights, but then thought about it.  I have someone there at least 3 times a day and they have each other.  They will be fine.  So here I am

We went to my sister-in-law's father's apartment for wine then out for dinner and back home.   Tomorrow morning I'm going to use my brother's spare office and get the work done I had planned to do today.  I decided after Thanksgiving that I was going to get here. So here I am

Watching an early episode of "Bosom Buddies" with a young Bruce Vilanich as a hotdog connoisseur. Very funny.

I don't think Craig considered flying to Romania.  His wife doesn't want to live in the States anymore  and wants to stay in Romania.  Craig wont live there again.

???

I am very sorry to hear about Craig and his wife.  I guess I didn't realize that she had returned to Romania.

I didn't either. The way it was written I thought I had missed something.

I didn't really say much about it.

Had a homemade Twinkie tonight at a favorite sushi restaurant. It had pineapple-mango cream at the center of spongecake with mixed berries on the side. And it was wonderful.

Thank you Ben.  They were together almost six years & seemed very much in love.  I'm glad now there weren't grand children.

Together for six years...I guess that wasn't her plan.

;D  Not her plan.

Nice to know. :)

The cake is baked & the many, many dishes, with Craig's help are cleaned.  Boy did I make a mess on the counters which Keith was kind enough to finish cleaning.  Now we are waiting to go to the airport.  I am trying to talk Keith into staying home instead of going out with his slight fever.

Finished the second of the three Borzage silent movies - a delightful film called Street Angel.  Not as good as Seventh Heaven but I'll tell you one thing - Janet Gaynor is Seventh Heaven - wow.

Someone from the Microsoft Corporation in Redmond spent 23 hours, 59 minutes and 1 second on my FF site yesterday.  I'm assuming their Windows 7 PC crashed just before they got to 24 hours.  ;)

I have to seek out the Gaynor Star Is Born again - I didn't care for it when I saw it the one and only time I've seen it, about twenty years ago.
