The Monarch Scientist's Son could use more vibes, good thoughts, and prayers. He keeps getting air leaks in the lung, which will heal on their own, but are delaying his chances to go home. Also, yesterday the nurse felt he was making it up about his intense pain. The Monarch Scientist discovered that the tubing that the pain meds were going through weren't attached to him, and all the meds dripped onto the floor. This went on for SIX HOURS.

Many vibes. And vibes that the nurse gets a reality check.

So, is the Freddie lyricist in the comments below the story someone we know?

Yes, John, Freddie is our own FJL
Thanks. It bore his style.

On this night, the people of Oaxaca, Mexico, gather in the town square with their prize radishes and celebrate the year's harvest. They carve the largest radishes into Nativity scenes and other fun images. And they drink, or so I gather.

I won a national poetry contest in college with a poem, which I no longer completely remember or even think I still have, whose final line was:

that last damnable lagniappe in Pandora's box

For some reason that line has stayed with me through all these years.

The Roman spirit is alive and well. This is from a NYPost article on Spidey woes:

"It is such a controversial show with a little bit of danger involved," said Jason Majestic, 34, of Long Island.

"You want everyone to be safe -- but it would have been awesome to watch if something had happened."

Or a termination notice.

Vibes for the Monarch Scientist's Son!

LOL!!! I came to my brother's office and started working on my brief,.  I was reading a guide and realized that the deadlines have changed.  Rather than a 30 day before hearing deadline, it's 15 days.  I burst out laughing.  I remember now that when the manual came out everyone yelled about 30 days being too far in advance, but I haven't had a hearing under the new rules.  So, Merry Christmas, I don't have to have it in for another 2 weeks!
