DR Elmore - thank you for the CD that arrived in today's mail!  We'll listen to it during our Christmas Eve travels.

Some fine Christmas we'll just have to make the Do a hainsies/kimlet get-together, with people flying in from all over.

I made a tuna sandwich for lunch, had some low-fat wheat thins with it and that's that for the time being.  I began watching the third Borzage silent film, Lucky Star, which I'm enjoying.  Then I picked up the stuff from the framers, picked up no packages or mail (although supposedly a Fed Ex package is "on the truck" - yeah, right).  Mr. Grant Geissman will be here in about ninety minutes, I think, to hang pictures.

So the thing on All That Chat seems to be - if you're arguing vociferously for SPIDER-MAN to close down then you;re objective, but the eight or nine people who are arguing to let Equity gather its info and trust them to watch out for actor safety must be shills.

None of the pro-Spidey-and-trust-Equity people are attacking anyone's integrity, but all of the pro-letting-Equity-sort-this-out people are being attacked as shills who must have an interest in the show succeeding.

It recalls the guy (his name may have been "brother") on All that Chat who was arguing against lots of shows and always in favor of ROCK OF AGES, and when he finally seemed to be getting identified as being associated with ROCK OF AGES, he disappeared from All That Chat.  But he was clearly an anti-shill for the shows he was trying to undermine that were competing with ROCK OF AGES for Tonys.

At last, the prodigal FJL returns - perhaps more postings here would result in less frustration?  Just a thought.  As to ATC, what do you expect from that site?  Objectivity?

Both ATC and Broadwayworld have had the most ridiculous posts about this episode with Spiderman - hysteria, untruths, speculation, and pure unadulterated insanity.

You haven't really heard "I'm An Indian, Too" until you've heard it in Japanese.

Has anybody here ever done business with the Green Movie Shop?

http://www.greenmovieshop.com/home.php

If so, please share your experience.

They're offering all 12 seasons of one of my favorite TV series (NYPD Blue), however all but the first 4 seasons are not legally available in the USA.

Thanks.

Even though I'm technically on vacation it seems I can be on short-term disability during this time and recover 5 of my "annual leave" days.

What a nice surprise.:)

The Monarch Scientist's Son could use more vibes, good thoughts, and prayers. He keeps getting air leaks in the lung, which will heal on their own, but are delaying his chances to go home. Also, yesterday the nurse felt he was making it up about his intense pain. The Monarch Scientist discovered that the tubing that the pain meds were going through weren't attached to him, and all the meds dripped onto the floor. This went on for SIX HOURS.

I'm shocked she thought he was faking the intense pain.  I hope she is now being extra nice to him.  When I was in the hospital in IV antibiotics for a dog bite in my hand the nurse told me to stop complaining she was wrapping my hand too tight.  The next morning when the specialist arrived he was very upset that my hand had been wrapped dangerously tight.

MEGA HEALING VIBES FOR THE DS OF THE MS!!!!

For DR vixmom when she drops in again:  That picture above of my Christmas in 1950 when I was 2 -- note, please, the snarky look on my face.

I guess it started then.

The feisty little church lady went to orthopedic rehab at her Assisted Living place.
The Monarch Scientist's son had all the tubes removed and feels much better now. He may go home today.

Both ATC and Broadwayworld have had the most ridiculous posts about this episode with Spiderman - hysteria, untruths, speculation, and pure unadulterated insanity.

And you know what the real truth is because . . .?

I admit there's a lot of hysteria and a lot of speculation, but some of that comes from the vague reliability of the media. In one report "stuntman" Christopher Tierney suffered minor injuries, some broken ribs and internal bleeding. Julie Taymor says to the cast he's raring to get back to the show. Then, his brother says to the news that he may never be on a stage again and he underwent back surgery yesterday. Then, another report says that he's going to New Egland on Friday to recover. No matter what the truth is, the 31 year-old dancer will never be the same again.

Of course the production wants to minimize the injuries as though it will diminish his lawsuit against them for careless safety measures, and it's time Equity and OSHA stepped in to protect the performers. There was one horrible fall suffered in THE LITTLE MERMAID and you'd thoink that would shake up things but it's taken four cast injuries on this show and that's ridiculous. I don't wish the show ill or well, since I have no interest in it beyond what's happening to its cast. And there, I care a lot.

I think Anything You Can Do in Japanese is most excellent.  Thanks DR MBARNUM.

If you have Netflix and like Frances Farmer - her final film THE PARTY CRASHERS is available there, DR JMK reports.

Wow, I'm so lucky. My care at Beth Israel, from the time I got into the emergency room until the time I was discharged was excellent. The doctor, the nurses and the orderlies were caring and friendly and very concerned. There was an apology every time I was awoken for a temperature check or some other vital sign check (not that often by the way) and they explained things to me and when one of my drips was set on too high an infusion speed and it felt like my arm would break off the nurse fixed it immediately and apologized profusely for the error.

I'm so glad I was there for the treatment with the caring and experienced staff.

It makes a difference to be sure DR BEN.

When you checked in, did they think you were an actor from SPIDERMAN?
