Well, you've read the notes, the notes told of the Do, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're about to have the night of the living MOO.

We have decided to go out to Long Island for a few days. It will be a nice break from the apartment and it will give Anthony a chance to relax.

Topic of the Day:  at work yesterday, I received the Petula Clark Sound of Music and the new CD/DVD combo of Hunting of the Snark from Amazon.co.uk.

I'm still waiting for the London Evita and the Cleo Laine Colette

I still have to wrap some gifts because the family is getting together today at our parents' house.  We'll do our gift exchanging tonight and then on Saturday (Christmas Day), we'll all go to my sister's house.

At least in my one day of shopping I was able to buy and wrap enough presents to get me through the next two days. Tomorrow I will tell my mom about my step-mother passi g away. I have been putting that off because I know she might say"karma" because this is the woman who stole her husband but over the years I've grown fond of her and don't want to hear that. I bought a card for her to send to my Dad. I hope she does.

I also miss those who have left and hope they will return, especially those who've been here since I joined and I've gotten to know, like Singdaw, Tomovoz,  Wfo, Der B, Francois, MattH, RodZinsky etc. I also wish Dan in Toronto would return; he wasn't posting much when I joinedbut he must check in occasionally because he sent me a condolence note...very sweet from someone I didn't know.

My cat and husband are both snoring. The cat is louder.

I'm up too, Amy. Don't know why but I woke at about 2:30 and haven't been able to get back to sleep. I know that when we get on the train to Long Island I will probably fall asleep but for now I'm up and I've been listening to my mainstay radio the Beeb.

It sounds like you're hanging in Dear Amy. I'm glad to hear that.

My husband doesn't snore. I'm glad for that too.

Good Morning all

Preparing for my sister and family coming down to Florida and will arrive around midnight Saturday. They are driving down from Montreal today. I hope the weather is okay. They now have four drivers for the car. My neice and nephew are all grown up.

My new digital cable box also has a DVR. So I have The Thin Man to watch.

Monday and into Tuesday TCM will have a tribute to Blake Edwards. They will be showing Breakfast At Tiffany's, The Days Of Wine and Roses, The Pink Panther, Victor/Victoria.

I would love to have seen Experiment in Terror, The Party and his versions of Wild Rovers and The Carey Treatment

I hope DR Laura & the other early birds have gone back to sleep.  I got up with a stomach ache and have every intention of returning getting a little more sleep.  I ate too much, and too late for me, last night.

I'm still up. I decided perhaps some pasta salad would be nice tonight.

I'm sorry to see you are still up.  You must be feeling more energetic than I am if you are going to cook. :)

Friday is a work day.

I also think it would be nice for some of our previous posters to return.  We shall see......

DVD - Ghost Writer with Ewan McGreger and Pierce Brosnan which is somewhat entertaining

They are predicting one inch of snow for us by early evening and three to five inches of snow for us overnight!

So - I think when I get home from work, I will watch WHERE EAGLES DARE!  It is one of my favorite set in snow movies.

Morning Jane.

I did go back to bed around 5am and I slept until a while ago. I'm now having some breakfast.

I'm feeling good. I'm glad we made the decision to go to Long Island.

Don't know what we will watch, if anything.

We will leave for the train around 10:45.
