Good morning, all! At 10am I see my barber for my Christmas hairdo, which will look just as it does now, only shorter.

Last night I slept rather well. I remember one weird dream after my awake period around 5 am: I was n rehearsal for something and very worried abot the choreography, because in reality I have two left feet and this huge shortcoming was aparent to me in this dream. The choreographer kept assuring me I would be fine. I don't think I was.

After the barber, which is about a block from tyhe Radio City Christmas tree,I will walk over to see the tree. It's not so much fun when it isn't lit up at night, but I will see it before Christmas and then wander about looking at wondowns before I head back uptown. I brought some work home from the office, so I have things to do here until I leave for an event chex DR fjl and Skip Kennon. Gifts are wrapped, and I look forward to the festivities. The big question is, is it as 6:00 or 6:30? I must find out.

TOD:
DVD: three Netflix items, I'm thnking I may watch one of the NUTCRACKER performances on DVD, perhaps the Royal Ballet
CD: various and sundried holiday albums, Guy Haines, Liz Callaway
    VCR: festive smut

TOD:

Nothing new to watch this weekend.  So, I'll either rent something, or watch one of my 4000 DVDs.

Maybe something Christmasy.

We watched ROOM SERVICE with the Marx Brothers last night.

It really had me laughing out loud, particularly that last section with Harpo pretending to be dead.

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, Merry Festivus, Happy Holidays and a most Happy 2011 to each of you and yours!!!

(Hey, I haven't gone -- just the Master, or I should say Mistress of E and T Behavior -- just been one of those years -- I know, no excuse for not staying in touch but I'll try to devise a brief post to let you know what Case and I have been up to that may help to get me off the hook a little bit -- but I haven't just been sitting around eating bon-bons and watching soap operas all day... not that there's anything wrong with that!)

Am meeting friends for lunch today at a favorite oyster bar that promises to have Belon oysters in from France. Looking forward to those. Then it's off to a few services in the evening and dinner with more friends. I still haven't decided on a schedule for that. It's not evening yet, so why be hasty?

I spent yesterday doing cleanup at the old house, including power washing the front porch.  Exciting, eh?  Betsy is going over today with her best friend to start some prep work on wall painting touchup.

I may go over, too, and nail down some no-skid treads on the front porch, which tends to get slippery in the rain.  Exciting, eh?

I took a well-deserved (IMHO) day off from writing yesterday, but must jump back into the fray today.  Perhaps the new BD of BACKDRAFT, or one of the many classical music titles that I haven't gotten to yet.  Then this afternoon/evening I have the two Christmas Eve services to play.  Exciting, eh?

Perhaps we'll take pictures of the most astoundingly lit house I've ever seen, which is around the corner from the new manse.  I'll try to do that and post it later this evening for your delectation.
