Topic of the Day (assuming that we're talking about all favorite shows of 2010, not just new favorite shows)...in alphabetical order:

Castle
Chuck
Cougartown
Fringe
Glee
Lost (now ended)
Mad Men
Modern Family
Psych
The Sing-Off
White Collar

Back from some errands.  I found 3 rolls of half-price Christmas wrapping paper and a book I've been wanting that I bought with some Christmas money from my Mother.

Does anyone actually read the notes?  I mean, did we have more than one best of list for movies yesterday?  Have we had even one for TV shows today?

I read the notes, but I have nothing to add to a list of best tv shows or movies.

Yesterday's lack of lists was more surprising - surely people saw movies this year.

Um. Not I.

Nor I.  Our movie-going has reduced dramatically, especially since we had such a bad experience at the local dump when we tried to see SOCIAL NETWORK.  We're going to try to keep up New Year's Eve tradition by going to see TRUE GRIT, but not here in town.

Does anyone actually read the notes?  I mean, did we have more than one best of list for movies yesterday?

FYI:

Quote
1. Matthew
I think the only films I saw this year were Iron Man II and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows.   Iron Man was great, Harry Potter was great, too.  In fact, if it's still out there next week, I may take the DP to see it, although I read somewhere that it was going away soon.

2. Michael S
I saw some films but not sure if I would put them o a list

Harry Potter ( though it was better than the last film)
The Sound of Music (HD Presentation)
a gay comedy about bears ( Heavy set men and not the animals) where the best line was a throw away and an good example of fine comedy writing. The rest of the film waas a mish mash and unfocused.
There were a couple of others but cannot recall what they were and if the were a best.

TOD:

Since I've come to the point in my life where I seldom, if ever, go to a theater any more and wait for a movie to come out on DVD, there are a lot of 2010 movies that I've yet to see.

However, of those I have seen, the ones I enjoyed the most are (in no particular order):

THE TOWN
CITY ISLAND
THE KIDS ARE ALL RIGHT
TOY STORY 3
THE GHOST WRITER
GREEN ZONE
LEAVES OF GRASS
HARRY BROWN

4. Danise
Thank you DR Jennifer (Gee I've even forgotten the DR part)!   I will be here this week at least.  I can't promise what will happen when I get back to the grind.

The movies I've seen this year make me glad I didn't go out and pay the money to go to the theater to see them.  I didn't think I missed seeing one of them on a big screen.

5. Kerry
I don't think I saw any new movies this year.   I'm not sure.

6. Vixmom
I think the only movies I saw in the theatre this year were
Twilight
Tangled
Avatar
Toy Story 3D

7. MBarnum
Gosh, I didn't get to the movies very much this year which means I am going to be at a great disadvantage when Oscar times rolls around (I like it best if I have seen a majority of the films up for awards).

Looks like the only 2010 films that I even watched this year all came from India, and here are my top picks.

I stopped after finding 7 people who'd read the notes and answered the TOD.  Perhaps if you read the daily discussions more thoroughly?

Not nearly as many lists as we usually get, but touche.  However, "Vincent" you'll want to stop right there.  Really.  Or you'll have to register and come up with yet another screen name.
