I was thinking that BK posted the recipe a long time ago, but when I searched I didn't find it

Here it is!  -Note the date of the posting!

Quote
UNSEEMLY WACKY NOODLES

1 12oz. bag of wide egg noodles, mostaciolli or bow tie pasta (your choice).

Boil them noodles.

Drain them noodles and put 'em back in the pot and put the pot back on the stove and put the flame on low.

To the noodles add the following:

One can cream of mushroom soup
Fill the empty soup can with milk and add that.
Add as much dried minced onion as you like (the kind you find in the seasoning section of your market)
Add salt and pepper
Add two tablespoons or a bit more of ketchup (don't be scared, you must trust me - this is basically for color and it adds just the right flavor ultimately)
Mix it all together whilst singing Beat Me Daddy Eight to the Bar
When it is heated through and through add five to eight ounces of sour cream (depending on your waist size) and mix again thoroughly and heat on low until hot, stirring constantly. Serve (will probably need extra salt as you serve).

Now, I know it sounds wacky, because, after all, they are Wacky Noodles, but they are delicious, kind of like stroganoff without meat. Give it a try, you'll like it for sure.

And if you go back to "LOST AND FOUND", you'll find a bunch of other HHW recipes. Including the one for "Floop"!

OK... Time to take an hour - I hope! - to pack my luggage. -I really wish shoes weren't bulky. I need to take at least four different pairs. Ah, well.  ;)

DR Jose will you be dining as a regular guest or is the set up different?

I was hired by the voice teacher who is running the camp, not by the ship. So, I will be a "regular guest". -I did just check out my cabin assignment. It's an interior room. A window would have been nice, but I'm pretty sure I'll be making sure I spend a lot of time on deck over the course of the 10 days.

I wonder if one could substitute yogurt for the sour cream in Wacky Noodles (heart-healthy cooking, you know)?  Actually, I was about to ask if anyone here had experience with yogurt strainers, but I'm about to go to bed.  As I always do in the mornings, I'll read the rest of tonight's posts before I read BK's notes tomorrow.

'night!

If not yogurt I'm sure you could use lowfat sour cream.  Does that help your heart diet

I wrote another page and a half - almost thirteen pages today - whew!   Now I have to lay out the major plot points and hopefully do so in an entertaining way.  That will be the rest of chapter two, and then in chapter three, Adriana goes hunting for clews and to interview people.

Well...

I'll probably go back in the morning for a bit of "editing", but all the major stuff is in my luggage.  It was actually bit easier to pack than I thought it would be.  All I had to do was throw anything remotely "dressy" in my luggage, and, thankfully(?), that's not much.

So, now for a bit of internet surfing and emailing.  And then a little bit more tidying up of my bedroom. And then some sleep. And then some errands in the morning. And then... The subway ride to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal.... :)

The substitution should work out fine.  And just like when adding sour cream, be sure to keep the heat low. If the mixture gets too hot, the yogurt or sour cream will "break".

As for a yogurt strainer: just place a coffee filter in a sieve. Place the sieve over a bowl, pour the yogurt into the coffee filter, then wait.  Or you could do it the "old-fashioned" way by pouring the yogurt into a couple of layers of cheesecloth, tie up the corners, then suspend the bundle from over a bowl from one of your cabinets. ;)

Bon Voyage DR Jose !

Thank You, DR Cillaliz.

I'll try my best to check-in from the deck of the ship after the embarkation process. At the very least, I'm pretty sure I'll be posting a pic or two on Facebook and Twitter via my iPhone.

-How was the closing of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown?  I was reading some reports that Laura Benanti had mentioned to someone(?) at the stage door that a cast recording will be recorded.
