I cannot imagine a world without delis... there are at least 10 within a 5 minute walk or drive from my home

I hate that I am glued to the set about this stuff.  There's just something about it that makes me keep watching

I understand that 24 hour diners are not common in other parts of the world either ....i just take for granted that there will always be somewhere where I can walk in as part of a party of 6 at 3 AM and have the waitress take an order of cheeseburger platter, twin lobster dinner, pancakes, eggs & ham, fried chicken and a triple decker blt without blinking an eye --- and serve them all up within 10 minutes - with, of course, endless cups of coffee

Party with the Native Plant Society.     The Huntington Library had to remove some of it's native plants as people were stealing the peyote off the cactus.

Cillaliz, no. Tucson is quite a ways away from me.

I visted Tuscon for a week in July of 1982 ( I think it was '82)...

there were no delis

or diners

or rye bread

We have the Little Chicago Deli.  Not a deli like New York.  Really just more of a sandwich shop.

My vet gave me a sample of some crunchy cat good that's meant for dental health.  The kits all love it.  It's bigger pieces and is supposed to keep their teeth cleaner.  She did tell me unless you brush your pets' teeth every day, it isn't worth brushing them at all.  Anyway, she said just using this as treats will help clean their teeth so I'm going to get a bag and dole it out very slowly
