Looking at printers for the new computer I bought for the office.   Edith didn't seem very excited about it.  Of course it isn't set up yet.  I think once it's all set up she'll love it.  Faster -  Our ancient huge multifunction copier etc that I bought used 4 years ago is starting to act up when she tries to print envelopes etc.  So I'm thinking I'll get her a new laser printer and we can keep using the big one as a copier and fax until it dies.  I think we can still get quite a bit of use out of it.

Joshie says thanks for all the vibes. I think. Maybe he said "More canned cat food, please."

Done shopping.  Got one on Amazon.  The new computer has Windows 7 and I have a feeling the ancient copier/printer/fax won't communicate with it, so this is just easier - and a very good price!  I do love a bargain

LOL, thanks I hope so too, Laura.  The current one has it's moments and I know it's on it's way out.  I'm very excited about all this tech stuff.  The printer will be here Friday and I'll spend part of the weekend setting up the new system, loading in the new software, moving all her settings etc to the new one.  I'm sure there will be some frustration, but I love doing this geeky stuff so I'm looking forward to it.

I know my life is easier, now that we have the "new" printer. You all haven't heard me rant about printers in a long time.

I suppose that's for the best.  But throwing it out the window could be fun.

Guess I should try to get some sleep.  I didn't sleep well the past two nights, so I'm hoping tonight will be different

Picked up a new book on Northern Great Plains folklore and folkways. One of the authros I had as a professor for several classess over the years. I was pleasantly surprised to see one of my contributions to the folklore database he has used in the book.

I noted my name in the back of the list of collectors whose work he used.

Had a relaxing meal out and watched a motion picture on Blu and Ray - maybe I'll write a page and finish the chapter I'm on.

I can't sleep....for the third night in a row....I can't sleep.  This is driving me crazy.  I finally came downstairs and to join in on the nightly kitty romp.  They do have a good time while I'm sleeping romping around in the living room.  they aren't keeping me awake, but it was kind of fun to come down and see them all playing together.  They acted pretty surprised to see me.

Think I'll go up and read.  I'll either fall asleep or finish my book, either way it will be warmer than it is in my living room right now.
