DR JOSE - Susanna Pomeroy was a great social director, and even she had difficult days.

Sandra Pianalto, President of Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, in today's Cincinnati Enquirer,

"We don't have world-class universities in Ohio."

Ouch.

What an idiot. The universities in this country are better than anywhere else on the planet. And Ohio has Miami in your own back yard. Cincinnati Conservatory of Music is up there, too.

DRs Elmore and John G - her "definition" of top-ranked universities are those that spin off patents and mint private companies.  Richard's response was, "What about teaching students?"

Thank goodness she had Schatze and Cedric to lean on.

BREAKING NEWS MOST ESPECIALLY FOR JR DEPARTMENT:

I read with some alacrity in Variety this morning that the pilot NBC is most enthused about for fall is a new musical (yes, musical) which is set in and around a Broadway show, entitled "Smash."  Said new series will star the ineffable Debra Messing.

I hear it's based on the actual behind-the-scenes events of WILDCAT.
