I think it is a real shame, JMK. Twenty-five years is a long time for a celebrity marriage.

If you couldn't get Michelle Lee, why not try for the woman she replaced--Lainie Kazan?

My favorite new TV series, OUTSOURCED, has been cancelled.  :'(

I will certainly miss that program and the characters. Such a funny and sweet show. Moving it from 9pm to 10:30 PM was pretty much a death blow to it.

I remember when they re-released RED SKY AT MORNING to cash in on the LOVE STORY craze.  And it tanked that time, too.  :)

Actually, maybe what I'm remembering is a re-jiggered campaign for the film after LOVE STORY took off, since it seems they were both released around the same time.

So, I got to Toyland, and I was checking out all the rooms when this man walked into the office and scared the hell out of me. Turns out it was our cleaning man Arnold, who's got a set of keys, but he was there on Friday cleaning when I arrived so he wasn't there to tidy.

He said he was looking for a phone number he thought he'd left on the piano. I hadn't moved anything so, I know nothing about a misplaced phone number. He said he'd left it on the piano with his keys, but he took the keys with him when he left on Friday. Why didn't he take the phone number? Or is he coming in and out of the offiice for other reasons?

It has me puzzled and a bit freaked.

Jerry Lewis' announcement that he will only be on hand to sing You'll Never Walk Alone this year reminds me of one of my favorite stories from Betsy's news anchoring career.

She worked at two huge Chicago stations that were so big the anchors didn't write their own copy.  She got handed copy at the last second one day as the Jerry Lewis Telethon was shutting down for the year, and the news writer had finished the story with this classic line:  Jerry Lewis closed the telethon with an emotional rendition of You'll Never Walk Again.

I made a tasteless joke about Ah-nold this morning referencing Two and a Half Men:

Maria, Maria, you know that show Two and a Half Men?  Well, we have four and a half children.

What a great season finale of CHUCK last night.

I thought it was pretty good, too.

The season finale of "Castle", however, was PHENOMENAL!

Ah-nold fathered an illegitimate child by their housekeeper.  So now we know the reason for that separation.

Here's Andy Borowitz' take on the situation:

I know the situation is ripe for humor, but I thought that Andy Borowitz' jokes were more crude than funny.

I'm looking forward to hearing Jay Leno's take on it.  Or, Jon Stewart's.

"Love Story" was 1970 and "Red Sky,... was 1971.

Maybe they re-released both films (in 1972?) as a double bill....hoping to capitalize on the popularity of one in order to recoup costs of the other.  They're not similar types of films...one a coming-of-age and one a love story between a privileged law student and a poor music student).

Maybe he just likes to play on the piano.

The Schwarzenegger situation makes me think of the first act of PLAZA SUITE where the wife is (at first) not so much upset by her husband's affair with his secretary as she is by his lack of effort and imagination at finding a mistress.

And, yes, it's another rainy, drizzly, gray, it's-raining-again day here in New York City. There were a couple of big claps of thunder earlier this morning that woke me up... And then I went back to bed for a bit.
