For the many who miss posts, I give you again the thirteen-year-old and my very own self in the lobby of the Colony Theater at Jason Graae's show.

She is adorable, BK.  You know how you get a picture in your mind about people that you have never seen; well, I had a totally different idea of what she would look like.  Neither image is better or worse - just different.

Good morning, all! I have a trip to the McGlinnventory this morning. At 9:30 I'm meeting our paralegal Geri, whom I've not seen in months, and we will put together the vocal books for EILEEN to copied for the singers on the recording.

Following that, I will stop by Toyland for a couple of hours to use the piano. I wonder if our cleaning man will put in another appearance?  When I get home, I'll take my opening night gift for Ron Raines over to the Post Office. Then I can continue the writing for the Appalachian Project.

More coffee!

Did you also get Bernadette an opening night gift?

Thanks, DR Jane, for the JEREMIAH JOHNSON recommendation.

The reason I'm asking is that my AAUW friends put me in charge of our January 2012 programming - an all-branch read and a corresponding movie.  The book we're considering is LAST CHILD IN THE WOODS:  SAVING OUR CHILDREN FROM NATURE-DEFICIT DISORDER, by Richard Louv.

DR JMK - will you and Betsy appear on the same bill - or will it be like Loretta Lynn & Lynn Anderson who NEVER appeared on the same stage together?

I have never heard that before.  What is the reason?

I am back from mailing three packages and soaking wet. I blame DR Jose, of corse for the rain, although I fear it may be a portent of Saturday's end of the world. I don't blame DR Jose for that.

DR JohnG, I did mail your package so you might find it waiting for you when you finish wandering around the garage on Friday.
Thank you in advance.

I went ahead and took some of those "End of the World", "Judgment Day" pamphlets the other day, and read them. It's all based on numerology. Of course, now the groups who think that the end of the world is supposed to take place in 2012 are starting their campaign(?) now too. Oy!

*Oh and the end of the world is supposed to be the result of a "rolling earthquake" that will start at 6:00am wherever you are on the Earth. -Just in case you wanted to know. ;)

I don't know that the Earth can count.

The Incredible Journey is pure nature.  The Highest Tide would be perfect except the movie version of the book hasn't been made yet.

Well, I'm off to see Fame at Capital Playhouse.  It's the last show of their season.  They've announced their next season, and I bought my tickets at the last show, but I didn't pick them up.  Hopefully, I'll get them tonight.

Be back later with a report. :)

LORD OF THE FLIES?

Maybe, DR TCB.  With all the good recommendations here, we could have a film festival in January, not just a movie night!

Went and had a salad and a few too many rolls and Zach's Eyetalian Cafe.  Now I shall attempt to watch a motion picture on Blu and Ray.

Watching "Morning Glory." Wish Diane Keaton were in it more. She gets it. Rachel McAdams is sweet, but Diane is the real deal.

LOL, DR Laura!  That crossed my mind, but January in Ohio might not be conducive!
