I enjoyed the Tonys a lot last night. Still the best Awards show on TV. I think Elmore, Dan (the Man), and Jose all make valid points about it being a different time and different circumstances and that memory can be kind and that we can either wallow in disgruntled nostalgia for "the good old days" or we can move with the times and accept their realities and many of their own very good qualities. And, if you confess to not having sat and watched a show since 2004, do you really have the right to complain that the quality isn't good as before? One cannot watch because they've lost interest or "the thrill is gone", but I think it unfair to condemn something as not being as good as it once was unless one has actually watched it.
