I forgot to mention one of the funnier/weirder things about these tenants.  The ex-bf, whom the remaining tenant kicked out of the house (thus making it unaffordable for her LOL) has repeatedly gone off the deep end with me via a series of stranger and stranger emails.  He finally sent this bombastic email insisting on no further contact from me, which of course he followed up with several *more* emails to me.   ::)  The most hilarious thing he sent me was a demand that I return my hoses (as in hoses I bought) to the rental property because the garden he had put in, in the house where he no longer lived and where his ex-gf was vacating within two or three days, was dying.  This is what Betsy and I have been dealing with for the past month.

In case you're wondering, we took the hoses because they had installed a pet door in the front door without permission and due to this guy's erratic behavior I had visions of him putting the hose through it and flooding the house.

I had to review THE DUCHESS OF DUKE STREET many years ago.  I rather liked it.

As did we.

I've taken two rather lengthy walks today (too hilly in this neighborhood to run), in what for Portland is very warm weather.  So I'm feeling like I've gotten my exercise for the day.

Rather you are too old to run the hills ;)  I enjoyed my two walks in your neighborhood very much.

DR TCB that particular listing means that for THAT particular film, the actor known as Robert Walker, Jr was billed as Robert Walker.

I seem to remember that he did that for a couple of films to honor his father.  It is true that SAG (and Equity) only allow one working actor with a name on its rolls.....but an inactive name can be re-used after an interval.  I am not sure about the time frame, but I think in that particular case it was done for personal reasons......Harry Carey, Jr, used that name for his entire career, so it must have been RW Jr's strong feelings about his dad.

If you are so inclined, we would appreciate your vote for World of Wisdom as Best Bookstore.

http://wrtv.cityvoter.com/world-of-wisdom-bookstore/biz/36861

When you vote you are asked for an email and a password and you will get two email confirmations but NO OTHER emails.  This year you do not have to click a link in the email for your vote to count - so you can just delete those two emails when you receive them.

Thanks!

I can't get rid of the damn Tiger Forest.

I don't know what this means.

I kept getting an ad for the zoo.  It completely covered where I was supposed to type my e-mail address.  I kept deleting it, but it would pop back up.  I have not been to your zoo, so I don't know what the Tiger Forest is either.

Good reason & I expect by now you understand why she kicked him out.

GETTING THE KEY & NO MORE DRAMA VIBES!!

When do the new tenants move in?

Tomorrow is the problem tenant's last day in the rental house.  She is now saying she may not be able to get the keys back to me at a reasonable hour on Sunday, so we may have to do that on Monday, but I could really use those patented HHW vibes that this all resolves peacefully with no more drama on their parts.

My book group will be discussing THE IMMORTAL LIFE OF HENRIETTA LACKS, a fascinating & well written book.  Fascinating as it is non-fiction.

The author not only write well but obviously had an excellent editor.  I did not feel as if there was an attempt to impress me with the years of research the author did.

No.....but everyone has - I think - 8 votes per day he can use in different categories.  Once you have voted for BEST in a category, you cannot record another vote from that email or IP.

Thanks for the vote!!!

DR JRand60, I think this is addressed to me? I have been thinking about it a lot, especially yesterday on my way to the barber. I was thinking that I should set up a blog and begin it there.

Scary! The ghost in the apartment just this minute rattled something metallic behind me and actually spooked me. I spoke up and asked, "did you want my attention for something?" No response yet.

I guess it's time for bed. This is the second night in a row about this time that the ghost has spooked me. Last night was something strange visually after I turned off the lights that I can't analyze or describe, but it was as if a fragmented darker shadow passed by my computer. Gave me quite a start.

There's a whole chapter for the memoirs: my family and the paranormal. And I am not talking about Lady M.

Thanks for vibes to all.

Jane, new tenants don't move in until mid-August, but they're paying as of July 24, which is kind of nice.  We have a lot of stuff to take care over there in the interim.
