yesterday the Vixter and I spent most of the day on the decluttering the basement project - we carried out 3 old pressboard bookcases and donated a set of 1927 books to a local village museum

dropped off several bags of clothes and things to the Salvation Army and scrubbed the basement walls and did lots of laundry

and built 2 new wire shelve book cases

I arrived at 8 Am and prepped for service and then we discovered that there was no one signed up for second coffee hour (after the 10:15 service ends at 11;15 - 11:45 - so the vixter and I ended up staying and running that and cleaning up afterwards

then the Vixter had a meeting and had to set up for vacation bible school (she is one of the counselors) so by time we got home at was 12;30

oh it was planned - just nobody is signing up = it is the same few people doing it week after week - everyone likes drinking the coffee and eating the pasty no one wants to be responsible for setting up serving and cleaning up

I was really strong arming people today I filled their cup and then held it while I discussed all the upcoming opportunities for them to serve at coffee hour --- I did get a few signups - I also noticed that several folks who ALWAYS come back for seconds and thirds were very satisfied with one cup today....

then when I finally got home I had to smash up those old book cases so that the garbage men will take them away I managed to quite badly smash my lower right shin bone with a flying piece of bookcase - nice gash with a lovely purple and yellow bruise which is spreading very nicely --
