Exactly. It was a very unquiet thing. Fussy.

Is the piano played by the "conductor" who crashed and burned at the opera in St Louis?

I believe Bruce Coyle played for Laurie for that appearance. -I'm not sure if he's ever worked at the Opera in St. Louis.

My BD watching is mostly review stuff of outre anime offerings.  Yesterday I watched the truly bizarre ARAKAWA UNDER THE BRIDGE and then started NIGHT RAID 1931, which is actually kind of a cool proto-noir thing about spies.

I must hie myself to my church office today to finish making plans for fall music.  I have things mostly planned until Christmas, which falls on a Sunday this year.

My church hasn't even made plans for August yet.

Those of us in the office today (three are out) will go to Shan Dong for Szechuan food at lunch.   "Shan Dong Chicken" is a house specialty and what I usually order, although I've tried other dishes.  Love their braised green beans.  Adore the pot stickers.  Drool over the handcut noodles in peanut sauce.

Who am I, that enabler called Jose?

I believe I will do mostly madrigals for Advent and Christmas this year.  I have some great archival scores here and the congregation has some fabulous recorder/flute players.

The tenth anniversary of September 11 is also on a Sunday this year, and it is the week everyone will probably be coming back after summer vacation, expecting a big celebration.  We just can't do it that day for obvious reasons, so we'll have our kick off on September 25.

I am back from the schlep to Water Street. A lovely young lady helped me, but this mess is ridiculous for a company so supposedly on top of things. The young lady I spoke to seemed to think the PO Box I used for an address with the damned delivery confirmation is the insurance company's mailroom, but no priority mail envelope showed up. This entire situation is pathetic. With my luck, all three checks will clear tonight and I'll be short the $800+ I could use for the Dublin trip. I am not happy.

We are back from a noontime performance by 3/5 of the Cincinnati Klezmer Project.  I didn't know until just now that they were missing 2 people - the drummer and the bass.  It was nice to visit our former church and see many folks we don't see any more on a regular basis.

DR Ginny, how neat! I love klezmer music. My friend Loren Sklamberg plays with the Klezmatics.

DR Laura, if you took me to a dentist and I woke up with all of my teeth gone, I'd be pissed too1

So, I stopped at the bank just now and confirmed that the stop payment on the check had gone into place. It has.

Now I need to decide how to handle the other one with the delivery confirmation that clearly has not been delivered in the priority mail time span of one day.
