I've been on the phone since 5 pm with questions from the recording producer, collecting and sending her an email with youtube clips of our cast so far, and then an hour discussion with the man holding the checkbook. I think we've found our heroine, depending on scheduling, and we lost a recording day which worries me.

Watching Amy Sedaris on a Letterman repeat.  I wish she was on TV more often!

I may be going to NYC the weekend of the 20th.  Too bad the timing wasn't better!

I also broke down today and stopped payment on that check I sent via priority mail last Wednesday to my HMO. Priority mail said it should be delivered by next day, and it has not yet been picked up by anyone, according to the delivery confirmation. This is the third check I've mailed to this moronic company this year tha has never reached them. I'm beginning to suspect they have fools in their mailroom or a crooked mail carrier who's leaving ples of undelivwered mail in landfills around Manhattan.

I didn't go to the workshop tonight. I'm too tired and cranky. I was not in the mood for rock and roll disciples of Jesus.

If you go to my FB page I have been tagged with some nice photos from the wedding.  I especially like the group photo, unfortunately minus the bride & her brother.

Kevin, when you are in the city, you might want to see a new show called SILENCE - THE MUSICAL.

Would you ever be in the mood for rock and roll disciples of Jesus?

If I weren't exhausted, maybe.

I have served a nice home-cooked dinner to my family - pork roast, stuffing, mixed veggies, applesauce - and now I'm making the last few party favors for the rehearsal dinner.

Italian Films

8.5
A Special Day
Cinema Paradiso
La Dolce Vita
Johnny Toothpick
Sergio Leone's Westerns

And there was a Fellini film that took place mostly at Cinecitta with Marcello M. (I think playing himself) and there is a scene where the go visit Anita Ekberg who now longer looks like she did in La Dolce Vita

and I am sure there other that just don't come to find at the moment
That was Intervista, one of my top three Fellini films.

DR JOSE

You made a list of foods from the Oklahoma pot luck

What are Hoe Cakes?

DR Michael S - Hoe Cakes are basically a type of biscuit.  They derived their name from how they were originally cooked. Since they didn't have baking pans and skillets out on the prairie, they would cook them over an open flame/fire on the back of a (garden) hoe.
And to think they have a whole new meaning today. Oh, I was thinking of ho cakes.

JohnG, Miss Frances Farmer was originally announced to be Bing's co-star in WAIKIKI WEDDING after their RHYTHM ON THE RANGE was such a smash.  But then she decided she wanted to do theatah.  :)
I also watched "Double or Nothing," another Bing with Martha Raye. I'm enjoying these more than I thought, and at $5 for a five-movie set, it was definitely worth the investment.

I met Maggie one night, many years ago down in Laguna Beach.  She had just returned from yet another tour of Vietnam.

She was a hoot and game to try most anything it seems. Martha Raye, that is.
