I'm baaaaaaack!!!!
I've been to the National Gallery, which is under renovation, so I didn't see a lot: a Picasso, a Peter Breughel, a Caravaggio, a Peter Paul Rubens, a Fragonard, and a Van Gogh, among others. There was a beautuful Fleming painting from the time of Rubens of people skating in the snow and another wonderful snow painting of a regiment of soldiers from 1876 that was quite realistic. The museum has a ton of paintings from Jack Yeats, and I liked many of them.
Then I walked next door to the Museum of Natural History and looked at a lot of insects - some goirgeous butterflies, DR Laura! - many many stuiffed birds and animals. They have skeletons of enormous deer overr 10-feet tall, I'd guess, along with other fauna and sea creatures. I was bored rather quickjly. After awall of sponges, I thought genug ist genug.
Then I went to Tesco's, a supermarket chain, and bought some chips asnd chocolate for an occasional munch, and I'm back at the hotel to wait for dinner.
