Funny thing about that earthquake photo from yesterday:  I saw the same photo used months ago somewhere regarding a wind storm that never developed.  And last night in my web surfing, I saw the same photo used at two different sights with the same earthquake gag.  Go figure...

Well, the library had "Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark." Guess I saved buying that one. From the beginning, the music sounded faux Irish in that mournful, U2 way. It is certainly their music. But I almost expected the funeral, "We're Alive" number from "Juno" to come next. Only nothing with quite that much imagination followed. Just mournful.

Mournful, dull and untheatrical.  Bono and the Edge managed to accomplish the unthinkable:  Frank Wildhorn is no longer the worst composer on B'way.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And well... Since there's some midday road work going on today all over the place, I need to head in toot suite.

Wednesday morning greetings!  Richard and I were out quite late (for us) last night and I slept in this morning.

Our date last night was delightful - we went to Covington, KY's Carnegie Visual and Performing Arts Center, a place we'd never visited before.  The building was originally a 1904 Carnegie library and has been repurposed beautifully.  Last night's event was Cincinnati World Cinema's showing of THE PERFECT HOST, a thriller starring David Hyde Pierce.  There was a social hour beforehand, where we had a light supper and ran into some friends who live in Cincinnati.

My party guests are frequently protestors, but I suspect that's different.

Slightly DR JMK....only slightly.

Well, there actually was some serious damage from the quake:  the 30 foot Blessed Mother statue that stands atop the hospital my mom stayed at developed a crack and shifted due to the tremor and will need to be repaired.  While I'm not exactly crazy about the hospital presently, this is a shame because that statue has been a local landmark and icon as far back as I can remember.

DR TCB, i'm so happy about your news!  And about the fundraiser. Hopefully it will be in time. Maybe if your landlord hears about this he could be persuaded to wait.

BK - may I share that video from last night with the folks on Talkin Bway, or should we fear the haters there?

I think the usual suspects would make it unpleasant.

TOD: What are the differences you're finding in working for something online as  opposed to TV? Will the episodes be roughly the same length or do you feel one can be 30 minutes, the next longer or shorter as needed?

Well, as opposed to TV, no commercial breaks, no one giving notes, etc.  We're trying to keep each episode six minutes or less.  We'll see if we succeed.

My question for ASK BK DAY......what is your favorite Woody Allen movie quip?

I have many, but I think one of my favorites is in What's New Pussycat? ...  wherein he says that he is working at the Follies Bergere helping the girls change clothes for twenty francs a week.  When someone says that's not very much money.....he replies...."That's all I can afford to pay them."

So many, but most of the ones I love are in Manhattan.

My favorite Woody Allen line is "Eighty percent of success is just showing up" or something like that - from ANNIE HALL, I think.
