I have no idea why that reminded me. I read it is "online." So it really makes no sense.

I was about to kvetch on line about why I had "extra buttons" for every piece of clothing except the one for which I needed an extra button when - VOILA! - I found the button I needed!  And I only had to clean out 2 of my 9 dresser drawers to find it!

Now that Charlotte is back in Manhattan, I have a movie date again.  Tomorrow afternoon we are seeing THE HELP, and I'm very happy about it.

ASK BK:

Two Kritzerland questions.

1)  How come Jeepers Creepers is no longer part of the Kritzerland's catalogue.?
2) I noticed that the Kritzerlnd news is from 2010. Do you plan to update it?

Nancy Grace is on HLN, part of CNN (it's a Legal News and Views sub-channel).

She's a former judge.

She's "out there" most of the time.  IMO, of course.

That is a diplomatic way to phrase it!

And it doesn't help that the director is completely wrong-headed.  I stopped making suggestions.....his reasons for not accepting them are as dumb as his reasons for doing things the way he is....so I give up.

It IS a funny play.....but it could be hilarious.....it was the LAST TIME we did it, when I had a bigger part.  I don't even get me started on the "improvements" he has made in the script.

AARRGGHH!!  I feel your pain.  I did a show where one of the actors decided to "improve" Joyce Carol Oates!  How do you "improve" Joyce Carol Oates??

I'm still trying to understand where May went...and how June, July and August slid past me.

Well...

As the Earth spins on its own axis, it is also in orbit around the Sun...

A crazy planet full of crazy people,
Is somersaulting all around the sky.
And everytime it turns another somersault,
Another day goes by.
And there's no way to stop it,
No, there's no way to stop it.
No, you can't stop it even if you tried.
So, I'm not going to worry,
No, I'm not going to worry,
Everytime I see another day go by.

Getting enough posts in today is going to be tough when I keep getting kicked off of the board.

As directed by the surgeon's office, I immediately called to make my follow-up appointment with the surgeon.  I thought, "Wow, things are really starting to move forward."

And since there isn't any big rush for the CAT scan, I called back and rescheduled the appointment for a more convenient early afternoon appointment next Wednesday.

My niece started grade one today. She is has her best friend from kindgarten in her class. And 2 other girls she was friendly with from her class. Plus one of her soccer friends. And she supposedly has the best teacher (there are 5 classes for grade 1).

It is very complicated for them to put the 5 kindergarten classes and make them into 5 new grade one classes.  Usually each class gets 2 girls and 2 boys from their kindergarten class. But 2 of my nieces other best friends both got no girls from their previous class. And one of the moms was quite upset about it.

I don't blame her. My niece's class had 4 girls from kindergarten. And these 2 girls get nobody. They were friends. Why not put them in the same class?

I'm glad it worked out well for your niece.

DR Jane - Thanks for sharing your friends story. The New York Times has been running features on other residents in the same situation. Pretty sobering reads.

I would like for her story to reach the news.  Possibly some of her friends are working on that.  She finally got some sleep last night and one lone man was cleaning her basement.

That was going to be my question.  I'm wondering what people who have read the book think of the movie.
