Barkeeper's Friend gets out a lot of the mystery stains.

I guess it would be dumb to ask what mystery stains are.

The stains one gets in a 50-year-old sink.

Now that I have a new sink, I don't get such mystery stains.

Immediately after I saw them show up I drove over to Dunkin' Donuts  (there's one  just sround the corner) and got them a box o' Joe and  a dozen donuts

While some of my neighbors were loudly complaining about having been  without power for six days  I walked over and gave the men who have been working 16 hour days for these past six days the coffee and donuts - and said  "I am so happy to see you -  thank you for coming " the  rude neighbors  shut up and walked away

Heavens to Betsy!   These guys didn't cause the outage and they didn't decide when and where to start repairs -

Is 23000 a milestone, because elmore is at 23000?

Any three zeros are a milestone and/or plateau to me. :D

My friend who isn't doing well since Irene hit her house needs more vibes.  Her mother just went in for an emergency bypass with low chances of survival. :(

Oh my gosh!  Vibes and prayers to Jane's friend.

Thank you.  Poor thing just found out it isn't bypass but emergency open heart surgery.  At times like this is it extremely difficult living far away from loved ones.

~~~Super Vibes for Irene and Her Mother!!~~~
I have to defrost the freezer and then tomorrow we will go shopping and Sunday we go to Astoria for Greek dinner. Anyone notice how often the commercials for the new Dannon Oikos Greek Yogurt are playing? We see Mr. John Stamos, of Greek descent, hawking the yogurt.
I had never heard of Greek Yogurt, but Dr. Oz mixed it with dry onion soup mix to make a lower calorie chip dip.
It is good & I keep meaning to buy it.
I haven't had the specific John Stamos brand, but the first time that I had Greek yogurt, I didn't like it.  It was just too thick and, well, not yogurt-like (based on what I was used to).  However, I've gotten it several times since and I like it now.  Costco sells 32 oz. containers of plain non-fat Greek yogurt and I like it a lot.  It does taste a bit like sour cream when eaten plain, but I've added sweet things to it and it's good either way. :)
And speaking of Greek yogurt, I think I'll go to Costco and get some, since it's time for me to leave work, anyway.
Be back later!
Yes, DR Laura, the rehearsal is at 5pm and the dinner follows immediately - well, as soon as we can get here from the church...
