Everyday I have been checking if the dryer started working again.  Just now, when I finished a load of washer, it started.  Now to decide to replace it or repair it.

Back from a lovelier than lovely lunch with MBarnum.  Also picked up the CD sleeves and will begin signing those shortly.  Also heard from another camera person - he's checking whether he's traveling on Friday or Saturday to a gig - if it's Saturday then he'll be available and I'll have none of the worries that I have with my guy and that includes the camera rental stuff.  So, the guy is still coming here, but it's easy for me to cut him loose if he doesn't want to deal with the camera rental, etc.

Meantime, I'm talking to a rental house at two-thirty to see what their deal is.

You can talk to houses?

Did I miss the post about an accident, Jane?    if you're still healing, quick-healing vibes.

No new injuries, unless you missed my fall over Sherlock in June, thank goodness.  I'm still in PT from the shoulder break & partial replacement almost two years ago, and now I have a matching, pain wise, left shoulder.

Thanks for the vibes.  I would like, at least, the left shoulder to be better.

Maybe he was thinking about your insect sting?

I wish I were frolicking. I'm working on an extra credit still the same "soundtrack of my life". You wouldn't think this would be hard!
Would you rather "frolic"  or "gambol"?

Shameless "frolic" plug -

Have I foisted my deep philosophical novelty song FROLIC LIKE ELI WALLACH on the folks here?  :)

Hello-I'm back from Buffalo.

I took my car for its annual inspection--it passed (well, after replacing the windshield wipers)!

I just called our Deferred Compensation office to see how soon I could expect the money from my account to be sent to me.  She told me in no uncertain terms that my hardship claim was still being reviewed and that I shouldn't bother calling again until next week at the earliest.

Gee, I wonder what they consider a hardship?

I also enjoyed the stage door duet from Oklahoma.  I really liked  the singer/actor ("Will Parker") in the show when I saw it. His dancing was really great!

And that Cody is a real cutie.  Not my type (still breathing), but there is something about him.

Something else in the Buffalo News:  I'm always fascinated with a feature of the weather page when I visit.  It's called "Sunshine Derby" and it lists the number of sunny days so far this year in 5 cities (50% sunshine is a sunny day).    Today's paper showed the following:

Syracuse:  44
Rochester:  50
Orlando:  109
Buffalo:  158
Phoenix:  203

Who have thought Buffalo would have more sunny days than Orlando!  And poor Rochester and Syracuse!

Yes, that was the post I'd missed.  Every now and then, some posts get lost when I post and try to pick up where I left off.  :(

Speaking of Hugh Jackman (earlier in the thread)--did anyone see his Daniel Radcliffe impersonation on SNL?  I thought it was funny!

LOL-Maybe.  It sure did hurt but like my other injuries it IS healing quickly.  Sleeping on it isn't comfortable but I know it will be gone soon.

Speaking of the sting....Craig noticed Sherlock's leg had a wet spot & sure enough he has a sore.  We wonder if he was also stung but unlike me didn't make a fuss about it.

DR John G what did you & your book group think of "The Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet"?  I'll be discussing it with my group tomorrow.
I haven't read it. and I had to drop the book club because of school. I won't get to read what I want to (unless it's on audio) for the next 14 months. Was it good?

"From Prada to Nada" just came in at the library. I'm enjoying the beginning. Jane Austen would have been curious but surprised, I think. Pleasantly surprised. (It's a Latina "Sense and Sensibility" for those who don't remember in previous posts.)
