  • Dance, if it makes you happy.

Or Gregory Harrison's personal assistant.
Perhaps you have your answer there, sir.

  • Have a REALLY nice day!

My library has THE NIGHT CIRCUS on ebooks & I'm 12th on the waiting list.  While there I checked and, to my relief, have two days left to finish my book.  I can now relax while I read though I still plan on finishing it today.

My favorite piece of orchestration at the mo' is Jonathan Tunick's ascending chords (on harp or miramba, depending on the recording) in Losing My Mind.  So 50's in style, guilessly stepping their way up the scale until that final delayed and faultering note--so perfectly fitting for that song!  I never really paid attention to what it was doing before but now it gives me chills.
That man's work is super.

We worked on the drip irrigation system at the church and got part of it working. So I planted some of the plants I have been holding. When they fix the part off the patio, I will put those things out there.

Oy and vey, Zach and I have survived a visit to Office Max.  Physicists should study this firm for actual proof that time slows down.  Buying a chair and a desk turned into an hour of various hassles, all the time with me hacking and dripping courtesy of this damned cold.

  • What is it, fish?

I've seen the Kurt Weill Newsletter edit of my KNICKERBOCKER HOLIDAY review, and I am quite happy with it. Now I'm waiting on word on what numbers Kate Baldwin will sing in the Encores! Gala. I've got the first half of the Finale so I can begin that, and I've got other work sitting here as well.

Anyone watching the Guthrie Theatre HMS PINAFORE on PBS tonight?

You do such a variety of work at the church.

That happens in small churches.

YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!

I thought I picked up a cracker crumb & began eating.  When it had a strange crunch to it I spit it out & discovered it was a bug.

YUCK! YUCK! YUCK!

Aren't you glad I shared?

I yelled at Keith to open a Pepsi for me to fizz out my mouth.

DR Jane - Some bugs are a good source of protein. Next time, just give it a sprinkle of salt and/or chile powder. ::)

Marimba? Did you mean Vibraphone? Or Celeste?

-Although, the ascending scale on Marimba would probably make Sally "lose her mind". ;D

I think we had some good auditions today. It was great to see our DR jose.

I would like a nap, but I think I will run to the corner bodega and then do the laundry. My chores for the Encores! Gala may change today, depending on what Kate Baldwin ends up singing, so I think the laundry while I'm free is a good idea.

DR elmore - Do you happen to know if Patti LuPone is singing? Or is she just speaking/presenting? -If you're at liberty to share such details.

Now to check out of the motel and make my way to Glendale for lunch with my friend Jerry Lee. Then, on to the airport.

DR MBarnum - It really does sound like you had quite a wonderful time in L.A.

*You may want to head back to L.A. in a few weeks to catch THIS SHOW. ::)

Today was busy getting ready for Edith's vacation.  She left at noon and won't be back until the 26th.  She really deserves to have a great time.

My ISP provider has told me that, based on my present broadband usage, I am a "relatively heavy user" and that I'm likely to go over my 2GB monthly allowance which is intended for light users and that if I go over 2GB I will automatically be upgraded to an unlimted allowance and charged accordingly.  I don't know what that's all about. I've been with the same ISP provider for many years, and have been consistent in my usage but all of a sudden I'm exceeding my allowance?  Maybe I've just been getting away with it for years.

DR Doug R - Umm... When did exactly did you join HHW again? ::)

I'm going to work but the office is going to be closed.  With our office layout it's just too hard for me to get work done and take care of the door and the phone too.  I'll check messages and return calls and emails as necessary, but I'm really planning to mostly focus on finishing the last of the catching up.  And of course go to Chicago for my own get away.
