Did anyone here happen to see BAD TEACHER?

Not I. Did you?

No, it is coming out on DVD on Tuesday, and I was just wondering if it is as lame as it looks.

I'm wondering if the CBS censors were worried about how some of the contestants on "The Amazing Race" are pronouncing "Phuket". ::)

I think so, did you notice the subtitles when she was speaking English that said "We get to go to bucket"

Good evening.  Once again my dislike for the stupid bagless vacuums  is flaring.  I had to drive all over town to find a replacement filter for the vacuum.  I finally found 1 and only 1.  I'm going to have to keep an eye out for more

That's not a silly question, DR TCB.

Actually, I haven't. But someday, I'm sure.

Not sure if this was posted here before, but here's the NY Times obituary for agent Sue Mengers.

More on Zach Qunto''s decision to come out:

Thanks for sharing that. It's sad that such a tragic event was the catalyst. The name sounded familar and read his bio to refresh my memory

We watched it the other night.

Not very good.

The obit mentions this:

In the 1973 film “The Last of Sheila,” (wrtten by Stephen Sondheim & Anthony Perkins) one of her clients, Dyan Cannon, played a brassy Hollywood agent widely believed to be based on Ms. Mengers.

Dyan Cannon says in the film commentary that she in fact based her character of Christine on Sue Mengers

Hi--I had a great time at Wicked!  The front row was fine and sure worth the price ($26.25)!   I had seen it before but had really forgotten some of it.  The two leads were wonderful.  The Wizard was played by the actor (I think it's Tom McGowan) who played Kenny, Frasier's boss at the radio station.  I thought the role was a good fit for him.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes!

Didn't realize that about the film commentary, Michael S.    Interesting that she'd confirmed that.

I don't think I've announced this here, but:

I've just signed a contract with Bear Manor Media to reprint my book, Basil Rathbone: His Life and His Films, which has been out-of-print for 35 years.

Not sure when it will be released, but my guess is either late this year or early next.

Congrats Druxy!

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I, too, got a very good night's sleep last night.

I feel like I got absolutely NO sleep last night. :P I've been sleeping on a futon with a metal frame.  It is not very comfortable at all.   But this is the last night that I have to sleep on it.  We leave for home in the morning.  I have had a great time with my cousin, but just not a great bed.  My mom and niece are sleeping in a proper bed and are very comfortable.

As soon as we get back home, I have to get my car and go to the rehearsal for TAO's "The Hound of the Baskervilles."  They moved into the theater this weekend and if I hadn't come to Oregon, I would've been helping with that all weekend...probably.  Anyway, I will be at rehearsal tomorrow night.  I'm not sure what I'l be doing...either running the light board or the sound.  I've been told that either one will be fairly easy.  Easy is good. :D

I guess What's Up, Spock? was a better title for this article than "Spock Is Gay!".

Congrats to Zacharay Quinto!

This was a great article...thanks for sharing it, Jose!

DR George Shore Acres is even prettier at night with the holiday lights.  I hope you also walked to the view of the ocean looking down from the cliffs.

We did see some cliffs.  They were very nice!

Well, I am going to go to bed now.  Even though it's early for me, I need to get enough sleep for the long drive tomorrow.

Good night, all! 8)
