Well, you've read the notes, the notes were neatly-plotted with a surprise denouement, and now it is time for you to post until the mysterious cows come home - they're currently reading The MOOder of Roger Ackroyd.

Quote from: JoseSPiano: Did you get one of the Samsung models? There's a "Samsung Experience" store in the Time-Warner Center at Columbus Circle, and it's fun walking in there when they're showing off the new 3D "films" created especially for the store.

DR: JoseSPiano: I like the Samsung models but decided to go for an LG LED set; model 47LW550T which has had good reviews.

Samstag afternoon greetings!  We are on the Mosel River, cruising to our last stop - Trier - before tomorrow morning's disembarking.  By the time we leave for our excursion into Trier we will have had a very relaxing 24 hours, which everyone needed very much.

TOD:

I love the original movie, AND THEN THERE WERE NONE with Louis Hayward, Walter Huston and Barry Fitzgerald.

But the novel...and its ending...is so much better.  It really blew me away when I read it.

The "problem" with the several remakes of ATTWN, better known as TEN LITTLE INDIANS, is the same problem with SLEUTH, AN INSPECTOR CALLS , DEATHTRAP and other well-written plays of that ilk.

They have a brilliant plot twist that, once you know it, sort of ruins future viewings.  You can only get "blown away" once.

I also really like MURDER ON THE ORIENT EXPRESS.

Happy 69th Birthday to Miss Annette Funicello.

Her house in Encino that was partially destroyed by fire earlier this year was demolished and the property sold.  She and her husband now have a new house near Bakersfield, California, which is near her husband Glen's ranch.

Nice monolog MR BK.

Sounds like Chicago is THE place to be this weekend.

Good morning, all! I'm happy to hear that a good time was had at FOLLIES and that everyone's having a great trip to Chicago. I've got the laundry in the washers, and when it'sfinished, i am off to check on Toyland and see if Curtis and I via long distance telephone can get things working again.

I've essentially finished the preliminary work on THE RED MILL, so I can now begin the same process for ROBERTA. I also have to write these new charts for the Appalachian piece, since we start rehearsals a wqeek from Monday. That's my weekend.

Everything is now in the dryers and I'd like to vacuum, but I won't before 10 am. I don't want to disturb the bartender above me, who's been really good about his late night hours, unlike the Oaf Above Me. Mr Ayers is back in Toronto, I assume, and our gain is Toronto's loss.

Good morning from Chicago!

Jose-that story about the couple sitting next to you and David was interesting!  I wonder how many people think the show's about them!

TOD:

Book:  Murder of Roger Akroyd
Movie:  Death on the Nile
           Murder on the Orient Express

I saw The Mousetrap a couple of times over the years in London.  It's very enjoyable, but not one of Dame Agatha's best works, IMO.

DR Cillaliz - Your pics are great! I may have to borrow some since my new-ish camera seems to have a really strong flash. I'll see what Photoshop can do.
