THE LONG AND WHINING NOTES

Well, you've read the notes, the notes whined and whinged, and now it is time for you to post until the whining cows come home.

Just taking a hour break from sleeping.

Wore myself out and have been under the covers for 2 days, sleep is good.

Missing life, it's boring inside, sleeping.

I went online earlier to contact a book dealer in England that I hadn't spoken with in about three years, only to find he died late last year - very shocking, only forty-eight years old.  One of the nicest book dealers ever, I used to purchase from him quite regularly all during the 90s, and would have lovely visits with him at the book fairs he did in LA occasionally.  I'm sure Pogue will remember him - Nigel Williams.

Also, I just wanted to say I heard something really shocking - Cason is living in Arizona.

That's very sad, BK.

Happy birthday to Jed.....

I am still around... been dealing with some less than pleasant things... still unemployed but I am finshing my degree and that has been keeping me very busy.

I trust everyone is well and I do miss coming here. I do keep you all in my thoughts...

Good morning, all! I had to be up early, so naturally my sleep was totally askew: too many nightmares of restless spirits, in old mansions and in my Aunt Jean's home on Hamilton-Mason Road. I don't know if it's due to Halloween or simply visits from the dead, but all of last night's dreams were ghostly and I got to little sleep.

In about 45 minutes I will call for a car service to help me tote too many scores for ROBERTA to a meeting, which will occupy most of my day. Yonight I have an important telephonic conversation with The Man from Philadelphia about 2012 recordings. I hope I'm awake for it.

More coffee!

Very heavy rain today which makes a change because it's been fairly dry for a long time.

I see that bandleader Edmundo Ros died on October 21st at the good age of 100. His Latin American music was hugely popular in the UK. I used to enjoy his music and have several of the recordings he did for Decca Phase 4. He used to appear regularly on BBC TV and had long running radio programmes. I'm not sure whether he had any popularity in the U.S.
