Are we to presume that...

I like it when rehearsal is fun.

So do I. -Especially when the MD prefers to play the staging rehearsal so that I can post from my iPad. ::)

I see that bandleader Edmundo Ros died on October 21st at the good age of 100. His Latin American music was hugely popular in the UK. I used to enjoy his music and have several of the recordings he did for Decca Phase 4. He used to appear regularly on BBC TV and had long running radio programmes. I'm not sure whether he had any popularity in the U.S.

I *love* Edmundo Ros and have mentioned him several times over the years here.

Inquiring minds want to know what the first label for the new OBC release was.

I got a used copy of a 25 CD set called 1000 Years of Sacred Music and am enjoying some gorgeous Pergolesi this morning.

DougR, you might want to illuminate the doofus on the HTF who has now said WSS didn't have an intermission at the Rivoli in NY - incorrect.  It had one there and it most certainly had one the entire time it played the Grauman's Chinese in LA - since Mr. Wise lived in LA he most certainly would have been aware of it (he also attended the LA premiere) and if he'd been so forceful about not wanting the intermission, I'm sure he would have had it removed.  The film played for over a year there - intermission every screening and it was the same in NY and every other roadshow engagement.  I'm sure what Mr. Wise is referring to is the general release version, where the intermission I'm sure was optional.

I am also writing a review of a weird little anime series called CLANNAD, which has virtually nothing to do with the band of the same name.  ;)

Inquiring minds want to know what the first label for the new OBC release was.

Probably easy to figure out, since there are only two labels who do this stuff that's paid for by others.

Why don't you email me?  :)

I know there are two labels (the one with the letters and the other "spectral" label, but I'm curious which one it was).

DR JMK - If you look at the type of albums each of those labels releases, it should become quite obvious.

Eight inches of snow in Colorado!

I think Edith drove through it.  She left a message from North Platte saying they got delayed by snow and road construction and haven't made it home yet.   She sounded really tired.

So, I"m back to work. First thing I did was get a shoplifter out of jail.  I had a message from her mother so after that was accomplished I called her.  The mother said "Oh, I was hoping she'd be there a little longer"  Sheesh!

Now to lunch.   Don't know if I'll see Edith today.  North Platte is about 6-7 hours from here.  She may just want to go home and get some sleep.

Well it isn't, which is why I'm asking.  This why I go crazy here sometimes--how hard is it to just answer someone or PM them?  I mean really.

DR Cillaliz, I'm sure the mother was hoping her daughter would have to suffer the consequences of her actions. Nothing better than jail for that.

I'm sure the mom will suffer the financial consequences now.
