Invited preview for Parade was this eve.  Drums are too loud.... oy and vey.   Can't seem to get through this show with something wrong... tempo's, rhythms, etc.... I hope that tomorrow night is better.

Good morning, all! This was my first mrning I could sleep late and so I did. I think I stumbled out of bed around 7:15. This morning, I guess we finish blocking the show and then deal with the music. The cast has a lot of memorization of text and notes. We've just got our first round of publicity:
http://www.islandpacket.com/2011/11/03/1851169/broadway-veterans-bring-the-sounds.html

So, today and tomorrow we finish up the show here. On Sunday our wonderful stage manager Meg runs the marathon, and on Monday morning I head south. I don't know what the computer situation will be in Hilton Head, so I may be E&T all week.

DR John G, a Betty Buckley album for anything more than a penny is a waste of  money in my book! She's too many of my more unpleasant memories of working with the NYC Gay Men's Chorus. On the other hand, if you like her arrangement of "C'est Magnifique," you probably would have loved the early 1980s disco revival of CAN-CAN, with Zizi Grandmere and choreography by her husband Roland Petit.

TOD: Sorry, no time, not even for the VCR!

Friday morning greetings!  I'm up early to go back to the vampire's blood lab for a repeat of last Friday's test.  The results were less than satisfactory and we're hoping for a 2+ INR today...

Good morning. I slept fitfully, expecting my poor hurting son to need me during the night. He and his dad just went to Denny's for some scrambled eggs.

No, Larry, I didn't care for that arrangement any more than JMK cared for his bossa nova "All I Ask of You." And disco "Can-Can"? Sounds like the Tommy Tune Studio 54 musical in the works. Oy and vey.

TOD: Some Christmas music on the mP3 and maybe "Sweet Bye and Bye." Like Larry, there's no time for anything else.

Just received the Varese Alfred Hitchcock Hour Vol 2 Herrmann CD collection although I haven't heard it yet (I do like those double thickness jewel cases - although it doesn't match with Vol 1 now!). I have every episode of the Alfred Hitchcock Hour on a set of DVD-R discs. I can't see Universal ever releasing them on DVD or Blu-ray.

Just read Peter Filichia's first Kritzerland column.  Enjoyed it a lot!  Mr. Filichia has managed to get me to finally order the DEATH TAKES A HOLIDAY cd, to keep my eyes open the nextt ime I watch WEST SIDE STORY and to reminded me of the glorious DANCING AT LUGHNASA.

Peter's article was a great read.

I am swamped with work and I am STILL sick with this frigging cold.  I don't think I've ever been sick this long before.

TOD:

BD:  just finished writing up this impressive new boxed set of Jethro Tull's Aqualung, one of EMI's deluxe new sets featuring BDs, CDs, DVDs, LPs and books.  I also started DESTROY ALL MONSTERS (MBarnum and JR, it's made for you two) and FARSCAPE.

CD:  listened to some of the FSM Rozsa set this morning.

The publisher has supposedly sent my colleague the cover the book, which I haven't seen yet. Am really anxious about it. She says it's wonderful, so I'm hopeful.

The cover is here and it is beautiful. Unfortunately, it's not in a format that I know how to share it here, but I am very happy with it.
