Good morning, all!  I was awake at 4AM, and that's far too early to be awake in my book. If I had any dreams last night, I remember none of them.

I don't know what all is on today's scheduled events. The first 30 minutes of this morning will be a company management meeting to discuss travel and stay in Hilton Head. After that, a runthrough. Once we lose David at 1PM, I assume we'll be working on trouble spots and musical problems. We have a great cast, but several of the actors do not pck up things as quickly as others, and  that can be frustrating. We've also got to deal with, and incorporate, two child actors who will be local to Hilton Head so those are always moments in rehearsal where everything falls apart at the present time. My faith in the piece and the cast is very strong, but I'm getting antsy and wshing there were one more week before we headed south.

So, that's my day. When I get home tonight, I need to prepare my packing list for Hilton Head and tomorrow morning's laundry and housecleaning schedule. I have to visit with Kim Criswell tomorrow before she flies back to London, and I want this place really clean before I leave.  don't want to come back and find the bed bugs have taken over.

Speaking of 4AM...

That's around the time that I woke up... Still sitting in the recliner in the living room with the TV and all the lights on.

Thankfully, unlike every previous day so far this week, at 7:45AM - aka "now" - I'm not having to get ready to head out the door to sit in traffic for almost two hours in order to try to get to the theater by 10:00am.

In other news...

I'm doing laundry right now, and will be packing my bags - as well as some boxes to ship - a little later in order to get ready to fly to LA on Monday morning.

...I'll also be checking in with my father in a little bit to see how my mom is doing. Since he didn't call last night, that should be a sign that everything really is all right. -He only calls when -or asks me to call - when things are not all right. And he felt things were not all right yesterday morning.

In the discarded Charles Strouse score was any of it used in a future musical of his?

One fun fact from last night's performance: After the show, our conductor was pulled aside by an audience member for a little chat. It turned out that said audience member was the son of the actor who played the Sargeant in the original Broadway production back in 1938. He had not seen another production of BOYS since then - when he was 11-years old! - until last night.

From the tone of bk's Notes, it sounds like we'll soon be able to judge for ourselves. ;)

TOD

How many movies did Sean Connery and Richard Harris do together?

But separately

Sean Connery:
Robin and Marian
First Great Train Robbery
Entrapment
Indiana Jones & The Last Crusade

although I haven't seen it in a long time and thought it very weird film: A Fine Madness.
I wonder if I would like it today.

Richard Harris
The Snow Goose (TV) But haven't seen it in a very long time but also have fond memories of it
The Wild Geese
Wrestling Ernest Hemmingway (and the Goose)

DR elmore - I hope you have a productive and peaceful day of preparations for your journey down to Hilton Head.

And two friendly reminders:

1) Set your clocks back an hour tonight.
2) Tomorrow is the ING New York City Marathon, so if you and your "Holler"-mates plans to be getting around the city tomorrow, be sure to plan accordingly. -At the very least, avoid the West Side - especially Amsterdam Avenue and Central Park West below 86th Street - for most of the day. And take the 1 instead of the A/C.

We had a fire drill yesterday at work.  While walking towards our designated meeting point I fell on the sidewalk.  So I have a bandage over my eye and red marks under my eye.  I also have pain in my hand.  In addition, my pants were torn.  Other than that it was a good day!

DR KevinH - Ouch!

-Shall I see if the costume shop at the Shakespeare Theatre has an appropriate costume to go with your eye-patch? You could pick it up later when you see the matinee today. ;)

Christmas is obviously coming because the shops are getting busy. I went round and round the supermarket car park today trying to find somewhere to park.

I've been watching the Blu-ray of "Quatermass and the Pit". Picture quality is very good. I'm not too keen on Andrew Keir as Prof. Quatermass though. I wish Andre Morell had repeated the role from the BBC TV series.  He was a far better actor.
