TOD:

I liked Sean Connery in The Anderson Tapes, The Offence and, especially, The Name of the Rose.

I've never liked Richard Harris but I did think he was very good in Camelot.

Saturday morning greetings!  Rob and Mary Linda are visiting again today, because they have to do some cosmetic work on her car that they're not supposed to do in their apartment complex parking lot.  Our garage will suffice and ML and I may go to some garage sales to continue their quest for dining room furniture.

DR KevinH - Ouch!

-Shall I see if the costume shop at the Shakespeare Theatre has an appropriate costume to go with your eye-patch? You could pick it up later when you see the matinee today. ;)

Sounds like fun!  I'm looking forward to The Boys from Syracuse!

I've been watching the Blu-ray of "Quatermass and the Pit". Picture quality is very good. I'm not too keen on Andrew Keir as Prof. Quatermass though. I wish Andre Morell had repeated the role from the BBC TV series.  He was a far better actor.

I've always thought that this was a terrific sci-fi movie; perhaps the best sci-fi that Hammer ever made.

Certainly Keir was better in the role than Brian Donlevy.

Art Lund hired me to be his publicist while THE MOLLY MAGUIRES was filming.  I visited the set many times.

BK,

I agree with you.

I also love the editing process.

Ever since I discovered iMovie on my Mac, I've been having great fun creating various book trailers and other stuff.

Some of the reports on Andy Rooney are unfortunately bringing out the 1990 charges that Mr. Rooney made  homophobic comments.  The Times in 1990 had an in-depth story about the controversy, which gives it context.

While I can't be completely sure, I haven't heard any of the Strouse music used elsewhere.

I forgot about clocks being set back - don't know whether that will affect when I post the video or not.

Can you KINDLE users give me some info on the differences between the versions from a user's perspective?  (I've read the PR at Amazon).  I'm thinking of getting one for Betsy for the holidays.  I'm specifically confused about one point--their blurbs on the site say they all have built in WiFi but at one point in the verbiage it says it won't connect to WPA or WEP encrypted gateways, and then a second later says, "At a Wi-Fi spot that needs a password?  Just type it in an you're connected!"  What's up with that?  Can you actually browse the web with these?

Cilla, what kind of computer did you get?  Our desktop is nearing that 10 year point (hard to believe, actually).  It's still working more or less fine, but I sense a new computer in our futures.  I hate, hate, hate transferring everything over.  I wish there was an easy way to just transfer actual programs over rather than having to reinstall them every time.

Got the first two of the many CDs I ordered the other day when we discussed BEN CASEY.  The Neal Hefti CD is quite outre, mostly guitars and piano, and has a hysterical voiceover on Wagon Train.  The Pete Rugolo is much closer to the original TV versions of these themes, with a great full orchestra.

I try not to watch RICHARD HARRIS films, as the floor gets quite slippery from DW Wife Betsy's drool.  :)
