Bruce, you may want to alter your routes today as you go about running errands and picking up packages. There is massive flooding on Ventura Boulevard due to broken water mains.

Back from CPR....going to pick up some lunch and be back by 1 p.m. so I can order a 3-CD set of music I've been waiting for since I first saw the TV series "Space: Above and Beyond".  La-La Land is issuing a 3-CD set of music from the series' soundtrack.

Good news on the report DR JANE.

And non-travel vibes for DR CILLA LIZ - you deserve to stand still today.

As long as MR BK doesn't use DR JOSE's former choreographer, I think the show will get up on time.

Thanks JRand.  I overdid it and am home today, definitely standing still.

I made homemade chicken and noodles for lunch. It was very good.

Just got a call from my dentist. He has to cancel today's appointment so I'll be seeing him next week.

Richard and I went to vote about 9am, then to Cracker Barrel for breakfast.  Neither of us was really hungry for lunch, so I have an early dinner of homemade chicken pie in the oven.  Early works, because he has a Messiah rehearsal at 7 and I have an AAUW meeting at the same time.

At the top of a page (page 4, I believe) on January 16, 2005, BK welcomed you as a lurker and invited you to join in when you felt like doing so.

Several posts later, your first post appeared:

The center of London is packed with people looking at the Christmas decorations. Met my old friend Steve at the Captain's Cabin where I had a roast beef meal washed down with 5 pints of beer.  The beer had absolutely nothing to do with my catching the wrong train home and having to change and catch a train back and then having to wait on the staiton where I am now, waiting for the right train!

Well, I've got five pints to go to catch up.

The heat repair people just arrived & it is cold at my computer.  I'm taking the Nook into the living room to sit near the wood burning stove.

What a coinkydink!  Speaking of tracks and trains, I just listened to Randy Graff sing "On the Other Side of the Tracks" on her BK-produced "Doing Something Right: Randy Graff Sings Cy Coleman," which I am listening to right now. :D

I loved the notes today, BK.  Well, actually I love the notes every day, but today they were very special.  I feel honored to be part of what I am sure will soon be the most popular site on all the Internet

My play, JOLSON, opens a 6 performance run this weekend in Greensboro, NC.

 :)

Unfortunately, I will be here in Austin doing the Comic Con.

 :(

Why does everything always have to happen on the same weekend?

 :P

Congratulations!

A question for all you Percy Faith fans: He did an album of songs from "Do I Hear a Waltz?" (my z just stuck and it came out "Do I Hear a Walt?" which was a Disney musical, right?). Anyway, was that album ever released on CD? I remember really enjoying that one.

Percy is one of the few artists of the easy listening era (yes, I hate that term, too) whose entire oeuvre has been released on CD.

Not as bad as the term "middle of the road" which was my first radio program when I started out as a DJ.

Dental Vibes, Ron Pulliam.

I've got a friend who's getting a dental implant this morning. I hope it's not contagious.

Implants?  Do they make your teeth bigger?
