*Yesterday was a long(!) day. I woke up at 3:30am to get ready for the scheduled 4:15am pickup by the airport shuttle service. The shuttle did not arrive until 5:20am. And he had to drop off a couple at LAX first.  He did get me to LGB "on time"... With only five minutes to spare before they closed my flight off. WHEW! Thankfully, that was the only bit of travel drama I had yesterday, but, needless to say, by the time I got back to my hotel room last night around 11:00pm, all I wanted to do was crawl into bed and sleep. And that's exactly what I did.

Did you still have to pay full fare for the wonderful service?!?

Yah serious this is unacceptable. You were expecting to be 2 hours early and they got you there late? And showed up an hour late. I would definitely complain.

Darn for you.  I might not watch it if something lighter is on tv to watch instead.

And how was the ice cream, Jane?

Did I mention I feel 40,000 years old today?

4 hours of NOZZE DI FIGARO I can love, but 3 hours of COSI FAN TUTTE seems like eternity. There were great moments: the production was funny and sassy, there were a couple of really wonderful performances, but, after Act One, Act Two is one solo or duet after another going on far too long.

It was nice to see my beloved goddaughter Charlotte there, DR PennyO, and others.

Happy Birthday, JANE!!!!!

Yes, the Cosi Fan Tutte was quite a nice production - all the bells and whistles, and - unfortunately - ALL the arias and ALL the repeats in the ensembles. It was just wonderful to see my ol' pal Elmore!

Nitey=nite, y'all!!

I really enjoyed "Satyagraha"...the performers, the singing, the sets, the giant puppets, but ultimately, I just don't "get it."  I don't get the show as a whole...it doesn't make any sense to me. :-\
