Good morning, all! I am sick of this damned warm weather. At 12:45am, it was so warm and uncomfortable that I got out of bed to open a window. I then had strange dreams: researching Jerome Kern music with Rob Berman, looking at contracts for Mary Roberts Rinehart and Jerome Moross. I slept very well, I think, but the the dreams were peculiar.
I still have a couple of gifts to ponder today. Perhaps the Juilliard Book Store will provide an idea. Today, I've got a trip to the NYPL at Lincoln Center, with a stop at West 70th Street to drop off a package. Then it's back to the endless ROBERTA Fashion Show score. I'll never finish it!
A thought from 1728 on today's word:
If you at an Office solicit your Due,
And would not have Matters neglected;
You must quicken the Clerk with the Perquisite too,
To do what his Duty directed.
