I can't help but feel a wave of sadness and nostalgia as they release the list of Sears stores that are closing. My father managed stores in SLC and Seattle. It was family lore that when my eldest sister was a toddler and a family friend asked her where she got her "big blue eyes" she answered without missing a beat, "Sears, Roebuck and Company!"

I'm up, I'm up... And I really need to get back on some sort of semblance of a normal sleep schedule. However, since my current show runs three hours, which means I don't get back home until 11:30pm, and then it takes me about an hour to unwind, well... At least I don't have a matinee today.

I've mainly been listening to WCVE, the local NPR/PRI/PBS/etc. radio station. Actually, they're part of IdeaStations.org now. The new daytime host tends to play too many Classical stand-bys and chestnuts, but their line-up of new programs and latenight music is still my favorite.

I could not print an 11x17 score at Toyland yesterday from a pdf I had been sent, so I'm guessing it's corrupt in some way. Today, no matter what I did, from rebooting to kicking the copier, nothing would make it print that onescore. I was able to print out several other pdfs attached to the same email, but not that one. It will print on 8x11 on my home printer, so I guess I'll take it over to Staples and enlarge it to 11x17. All in all, a frustrating trip to Toyland.
