As I've also mentioned, the TKAM ranting has almost completely sucked the air out of the All Quiet on the Western Front discussion, which I find somewhat amusing.

What is the general consensus about the "heir" who showed up on DOWNTON ABBEY last night?  Real or Memorex?

I will hopefully have time to watch the astounding La Fura del Baus' MAHOGANNY today.  I'm really looking forward to it after their astounding RING cycle last year.

JMK - Not sure about the heir on Downton Abbey, but -

You're near 12,500 posts - doesn't that seem to be a round enough figure to qualify as a milestone of some sort?  Your call, of course!

I don't see why. I recently passed 500 posts and no one congratulated me  ;D

Oops (or spoo), I guess it's another meaning.  ;)

Hmmm...a spoiler alert would have been appreciated.

The funniest thing about the TKAM ranter, aside from his genetic inability to simply apologize, is how first he decried how the BD looked (without ever having seen it), calling my review a "joke" and something to be "derided," then when other people weighed in, more or less agreeing with me, he now states his opinion was based on the fact that all the screencaps I took were of "bad" moments in the film, hence his rush to judgment.  :)

Why did "The Elephant Man" spring to mind every time the character was on camera?

500 isn't a milestone folks normally mention...the general rule-of-thumb, IIRC, is 1,000.  Every thousandth post gets the kudos!

But 500 is well done.

I almost wonder if our TKAM ranter might be related (really, really closely) to our very own 3D?  It's the same modus operandi.

I am getting strange errors as I navigate about HHW and other websites today.  I'm doing so on my iPhone, but I'm coming across glitches I've never came across before.  Is it lots of post-Super Bowl traffic or a general attack by---Dah! Dah! Daaaaah!--Anonymous!

(Those people are scary!)

Household Hint of the Day:  a dab of Dr Pepper on a paper napkin is all it takes to remove pizza sauce that has been inadvertently smeared on an iPhone screen.

Nice. :)

I hope you enjoy the book.  I wonder who will read it first.

Please put a spoiler or warning or mention DOWNTON ABBEY first.  I can't watch the show until it is on NetFlix.

I once got forced off a board because I hate gay people -- you know, because I didn't like "RENT."

I must be a self-hating Gay then cause I didn't much like it, either.

Thanks to whoever it was last week who pointed out that the third line in "Here I Am, Lord" is "Who was bringing up three very lovely girls.) We're going to be doing that one on Sunday. I will probably laugh.
