And did I mention the bad face lifts?
;D
I'm coming to believe that there are no good facelifts.

The mention of facelifts always reminds me of the lyrics to "Sherry!"

They pulled her so tight this time
She can't bend over!

I am positive Danise will owe taxes on what she received.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

Back from a fun breakfast with Alet.  They're shooting a commercial nearby so they got a permit and have parking on the south side of my street all reserved for themselves for a two and a half block radius.  The problem, always, is that they abuse this.  When I came back from breakfast every parking space on my side of the street, including in front of my house was taken.  There was a security guard who'd just parked his car in the last space in front of my house.  I waved him over and told him that they had a specific permit and that that permit was for the other side of the street.  This idiot shot me some attitude and told me to call the city, that it was public parking.  I parked my car down the street and came back and told him I wanted his name and badge number.  He then got contrite when I told him he was not the "public" in "public" parking.  He apologized and said he didn't realize I lived here.  Then he said, "I'll call my location manager and have him talk to you - I guess you want money."  I said, "No, I don't want money I want you to park on the side of the street you have the permit for."  He moved his vehicle and I parked, but I knew it was going to make our rehearsal this afternoon difficult.

The location manager came and apologized - he said he didn't know if all those cars belonged to his people, but I told him that non one EVER parks on this street - EVER.  So, he assured me he'd have the cars moved (they not only have their permit to park on the south side of the street, they also have a parking lot two blocks away).  So far he's been true to his word and at least two cars have moved.

DVR is set to record The DR Danise Show with that Anderson Little guy.

Don't let Anderson's mother read that comment.

I will have to miss JUDGE JUDY today in order to watch ANDERSON COOPER - but I am sure it will be worth it.

Thanks again to all for the vibes for my brother in law - he starts his chemotherapy today, so we shall see what happens.

Jack, I am sorry, I must have missed you talking about your brother-in-law.  Prayers and good wishes to him and to your entire family.

I was watching 360 (his other show) while waiting at the airport and was in shock that I just sat next to that man a few hours before.  Horrible about all those tornados and I also can't believe that on one of the happiest days of my life, Davy Jones dies.

Danise, I am so thrilled for you.  It couldn't happen to a more deserving person.  The show isn't on here until 2:00; but I couldn't help myself, I had to cheat and go to the web site.

Once again, Thank you all.  I didn't mean to make anyone cry but I was really crying on set when it happened.  I never expected it.  It's so hard to believe that was just about 24 hours ago.

If I had hugged Anderson, I would have cried too.

I'm waiting for DR Danise's video to load.  I'm very excited.  Thanks for the link DR Ben.
I am curous what you mean by you are waiting for it to load. Don' you just press play and view it?  I hope there are different rules if it is a gift vs winning a prize.

It would only play a few seconds at a time so I pressed the pause button & waited for it to completely load.

Normally I would not watch a whole show of the topic on Anderson today. I find it too upsetting. But I am going to watch it all. Will probably need extra tissues.

Hi again folks.  I'm sorry I had to go lay down.  I was just sooo tired.

Thank you BK and everyone for the good wishes.  I'm sorry I made you cry at work Cilla!

I will look into the tax thing. it had occurred to me and I have a lady at H & R Block who does mine.  I have her card and will give her a call.  I would rather take out what I have to now and not wait until the end of the year.  I always Uncle Sam extra because I would much rather have him owe me then the other way around.

DR Elmore--if everything works out I will soon have 2 bookshelves you could have :)

I haven't watched yet and I don't know if this is the entire Danise segment (it's listed as 4minutes) but I found this on the AC Show Web site

Danise's Surprise

That's wonderful!  Congrats, Danise!! ;D

Secondly, I knew your story, but hearing it again, really made me tear up
Thirdly, No one deserves the surprise on the show more than you
Fourthly, You hugged Anderson....I'm jealous :)
Fifthly,  How cool that you also have the real Angie of Angie's list in your corner.

Ditto to all of this!!! :D

I am so so happy reading about your Anderson Cooper experience, DR Danise!  You so deserve this!

About the humongous washer and dryer:  maybe you can contact Frigidair and ask them if they could gift you with smaller models instead?  I would think they would be willing to accommodate you.

And Im wondering if you are liable for taxes on them since they are a gift and you didn't win them (there mIght still be state taxes, though)

The law used to be that an individual could receive a gift up to $10,000.00 from one source in one calendar year.  We had to used that after my mother was killed.  I had to have my brother-in-law gift me ten grand until we got all of the lawsuits finished.

Flashback to the Oscars and the incomplete (and highly edited) "In Memoriam" segment.

Every year, Oscar pays final respects to departed actors/actresses/technicians, etc., and EVERY year they leave someone out.   Granted, some folks may seem "minor" to those decision-makers hard-pressed to schedule an event that should last one hour into a three-hour slot, but their failures do not go unnoticed.  Click below to see who was....

LEFT OUT

A few of the omissions are shocking to me.

Very shocking!!!!

Perhaps the Academy has something against drug addicts.  This year they left out Jeff Conaway and last year Corey Haim.

Oh great!  Anderson's Show starring Danise is scheduled for two o'clock, but they are broadcasting the memorial service for our state trooper that was killed last week.

I need to find a bookcase about 21 inches wide and seven feet tall!

I love THE BOLD AND THE BEAUTIFUL: the plots make no sense even when they're not verging on the assinine and ridiculous, no one can act, and the actors are completely lost because their characters have no sense of reality. After catching 30 minutes of its dreck, I feel so superior.

There must be a whole lot of pretty on it to keep you watching it each day!

DR Danise, your segment just ended on Channel 11. I have tons of questions but I'm sure several things have to be worked out between you and the program. I'm also pretty sure that some things are strictly confidential between you and the program, so I'll just waittill you tell us things!
