I got three SAG residuals today - totaled they won't quite buy a Happy Meal at McDonald's.

Ugh,  I can seem to catch a break lately!  My mom, my sister and I have all been hit by a stomach virus.  I spent just about all of Monday night into Tuesday morning in the bathroom.  Yesterday I slept the day away.  I feel better today except for a slight fever and occasional cramps.  The nurse at Mom's rehab told me on the phone that virus probably came from a visiting family member of another patient.  And oddly enough, Mom didn't really suffer much from it which is a blessing.

I am going to start carrying around a bottle of Purell.

Why is TCM subjecting us to a week of teen beach movies?

Just noticed that the time stamp on my posts was off by an hour.  That has been corrected.

I am closing in on two extra-curricular (as in non-HHW) millstones.  I'm about to write my 1,000th review for Blu-ray.com, and I'm about to have my 125,000th visitor to my Frances article.

I got a WGA residual once for 4 cents!

No kidding.

Today, I made a deal to turn my book, ONCE UPON A TIME IN HOLLYWOOD: From The Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker, into an audio book.

The guy who will be narrating sent me a 5-minute audition from it that had be laughing out loud.

Well, we had a twenty second power failure at three. Real good for the computer. Then fifteen minutes ago it happened again. I called the dwp and they acknowledged that once again the same exact area as last time has a problem. Eta is midnight. Last time we had a six hour eta it came back on in two so who knows. They were about to tell me the cause when my wonderful high tech cell phone lost signal. I'm sure they called right back but they only have the home phone. I am so angry right now that I would do serious harm to any dwp person near me

We just finished watching WITNESS w/Harrison Ford.

Excellent movie!

They don't make them like that any more.

I saw the coolest thing as I was leaving the volunteer administrators' meeting.  There is a gathering of B-25 bombers from WWII's Doolittle Raid in Urbana, OH, this weekend and at 1pm today they did a flyover at Dayton's Air Force museum.  From the parking lot of the meeting venue, I had a fabulous view of their "parade."  Today is the 70th anniversary of the event.

Cool!

I'll post that information later...when the production is a bit further along.

He's not a "name," but he's very good.

I'm glad your mother didn't suffer much after all she has been through.

Thank you for all the vibes.

Our day began concerned about a possible intestinal problem causing Sherlock's fever and ended with a diagnosis of cancer ???

Our first vet sent found his spleen was enlarged and called the specialist.  Combine that with the test results, compared to his recent ones from 6 weeks ago, and the fact he is a Bernese Mountain Dog, the specialist said for us to go right over for the ultrasound.  Liver, slpeen, lymph node & chest show something.  The official report will be in on Monday.

Happy birthday Keith (Saturday).

On the upside Sherlock looks happy & seems fine.  He had a shot of prednisone for inflammation & to reduce the fever and 2 weeks worth in pill form.
