Some papel picado hanging in a tree. This is a Fiesta tradition.

At A Night in Old San Antonio, someone still wears a hat. I think there's a head in there.

My friend, Jerrie. (Yes, she's married to someone named Tom.)

A little more taste and a little patriotism combined.

Hello everyone!

I just did a very quick skim-through of the last few days which I have missed, so I could catch up on some of the goings-on around here.

BK - So glad the book signing went well.
TCB - Continuing vibes for health and wellness

Jane, Keith, and DD Sherlock - I am so very very sorry to hear how things have turned out.  I agree with the decision, and I'm glad you have such a kind and supportive, honest vet.  Many vibes and hugs to all of you.

I have been working furiously to finish up end-of-term work.  We had some gorgeous sunny days, but are now back to the usual cloudy rainy dreariness.  Ah well, such is Pacific Northwest life.

re Santa -  when the Vixter  was 6 she said some of the kids in her class  told her that Santa  was their parents -  so I asked her - are these NICE kids?
Well not really - she answered they're kind of mean

Well you know Santa only visits nice kids.  But even mean kids' Moms and Dads love their children and they probably feel bad that Santa won't come to their house so they buy presents for their kids...

Interesting approach...

Eat, Ann.  Ann, eat.  Something small - a nosh, as we Jews say.

The other day I was sitting in my classroom with a few children, watching the clouds gather, and I began to sing Soon It's Gonna Rain.  Not exactly the kids music they are used to, and in a matter of seconds I had all three of them sitting on my lap around me, listening.  It was nice.

I must do what I can to expose these little ones to good music, I think.

Yes, music is the great elixir and they need some classics along with the "stuff" from today.  Good job.

Jed is soon to return from the first Forum rehearsal.  Apparently the Pseudolus they cast has no lower range whatsoever, and they have been forced to re-write the opening melody of Comedy Tonight for him.  Not sure how i feel about them re-writing the most recognizable melody in the show, but there you are.
