Good morning, all! I have just wasted 30 minutes of my life on what should have been a simple Amazon gift order, but no matter what I did, I could not get Amazon to accept the change from an order to me to another - I could find nothing when I checked out to specify it was a gift or to change the shipping address - so I placed the order and then tried to edit ot. I could change the shipping address, but there was no way in hell I could bet the damed gift message to be accepted. I finally had to have Amazon call me and speak to a customer service lady I could hardly hear. I don't know why it was so damned difficult.
And now the gift istaken care of, thank you, Jesus!
This morning, I have a trip to the McGlinnventory, where I will bind 25 chorus books for DEAREST ENEMY and ship them to Dublin. After that, I will wander to Toyland to use the office scanner and convert some ROBERTA work to pdfs.
Following that, it's back here to finish up THE ONLY GIRL - three scores to go! I really truly hate the look of these Sibelius scores. I don't care how much easier the program is supposed to be over Finale; I think the look of the final scores stinks. Of course, I will admit, it may be due to the limited experience of the operators. The conductor in charge of this project is going to be the next John McGlinn: can't hear a good note from a wrong one, couldn't find a wrong note on a score if his life depended on it, and possessor of the same poor personnel skills and sense of entitlement. I can tell him how it's going to end, but sometimes crashing and burning is the only way to learn.
More coffee.
