Half of the lawn is dead

So, I put on my work boots for ankle support and mowed

The new mystery is the about 2 dozen pot plants that were growing in the yard

were they wild?

Were they left from some kid dumping his seeds as he went around the corner with the cops hot on his trail?

Or did someone put pot seeds in the grass seed at the store?

We may never know. But now the little baby plants are in the garbage with the cat litter and the other trash from the house.

At least you had an interesting day in your yard.

Since I don't partake, there was no temptation to let the grow to find out if they are hemp or something more.

Thanks Jane.  I was supposed to work the book sale so I imagine someone is mad at me, but I've just been so stressed that I needed to do things around the house, like mowing, cleaning the kitchen, making a good meal that will have left overs to last for a few days etc.

I hope they don't grow back.  Figures these lived while half your lawn died.

And it's supposed to rain off and on for a good part of the week.  Who knows if I could have done it any other day. Since I sort of left it up in the air with last years lawn guys, I was hoping they would do it, but it wasn't that bad today.

I seriously think some kids threw the seeds there.  There were a lot of kids around here at night over the fall/winter.   Other items were found in the neighborhood that would lead one to believe that there were people um....doing something intimate in a car.....

I'm backing off some of the things I was doing.  I didn't do the film festival this year, I'm off the friends library board, I'm saying "no" more.  I really enjoy a lot of the things I agree to do.  I'll just have to decide what I enjoy the most and walk away from the rest.   THe people on the hist pres comm don't know it, but I have one more year in this term and I"m not sure if I'll re-up.   They will be surprised, but I just can't do it all. On the other hand, I can't think of anything I've volunteered for that I regret volunteering.

Didn't you have two sets of mower's last season? 

Nope.   I had a guy who used to do it, but he had heart problems and these are the guys who replaced him.  They replaced him 2 years ago.
